Just regulation and skill and its also safer because they are trained to do it in i think 1.2 no faster no slower and it means they will have noticed that one had not come off.its not perfect but its better than the f1 with kimis pit

Nascar is all about being out of date... for example - the engines must use pushrods, even though that tech was obsolete in racing maybe before the start of the 70s... another major thing is the ban of any kind of telemetry, then there's the wheel hubs (most other racing series use single nuts), welded tube chassis instead of composites (the composite shell they use is not structural in any way, everything is held together with welded tubes) The whole reason they do this is to keep the entry costs low, it is said that if you can put together a crew and scrounge together about $50k to buy a car, you can seriously think racing Nascar :D

The NASCAR one was a bad pit. He dropped a lug nut. Plus back then Martin Truex Jrs pit guys were a joke. Now they are fantastic.

Quentin M they actually drop lugs more often then not, pitstops arent always perfect, theres miscommunication, wrong place wrong time, or consistency problems that come up, it happens

Formula E is like reloading the cartridge cleaning the gun and polishing it . Super slow. They show find a way to LRU (Line Replaceable Unit) the battery with a pallet jack or something slam it up in there

theyre only allowed two crew members working on the car at one time (plus one who can assist the driver) meaning that while the car is being refueled they cant replace the tires

Racing isn't a demonstration of it's advantages for the future. Electric cars are the future for the consumer, that much is certain. Fuel is getting more expensive and is bound to run out at some point, electricity can be generated by many different methods, and the maintenance on the car is much easier already.

The best NASCAR pitstop I've ever seen was Kyle Larson's pitstop during the 2016 Southern 500 at Sunset. Damn near brought a tear to my eye

anyone reading this: look up Super Formula pitstops, they are really crazy and funny. They have automatic jacks which pull the car up from the ground, they just throw it in front of the car and it jacks it up. Also the guy changing tires often jumps from one side of the car to the other.

I noticed the front tyre changer tapped the fuel man's leg at 2:08. The signal that the tyre is changed and set to go I assume?

williams got the best pit stop team....they hold the record for the shortest pit stop which is 1.98 seconds.........and look at that endurance championship...you get a BJ at the pit stop before you continue the race.....

BOMBON187 the bike is specifically designed so the tires can be changed quickly they don't mess with the chains or anything like that. If you look close you can see they remove a bolt in the center of the assembly, replace the tire then tighten the bolt again

Nascar's pitstops are absurdly dangerous ...

I like Formula E, but their Pit stops are the least interesting by far, which is understandable because switching car is the only option with the current limitations from batterys, hopefully they will not need to change cars in the near future. On a more positive note : Nascar and F1 Pitstops are just fucking beautiful.
