That Sebring races were a proper mess

Yes it was. I was marshaling it. The Michelin Pilot Challenge race had 47 minutes of green flag running in a 2 hour race. I can't believe I'm saying this but the Carrera Cup drivers were the most well behaved. No safety cars and 1 red flag in practice. And it still was like a spec Miata race!

Yes it was. I was flagging from 16. Crazy to think that Carrera Cup was the cleanest series all weekend. 1 red flag in practice and no safety cars during the 80 minutes of racing.

Absolute chaos

2:28 I'm the marshal in the white helmet top left of picture. I hear my yellow flagger yell "OH $HIT!" turn around and see bits of car and tyre wall getting some serious air time and all over the circuit. I still can't believe the 35 car drove back to the pits. He moved the wall at least a meter. Just a testament to safety advances these days. Edit: The car was retired as soon as he got to the pits due to feared structural damage.

Wenn ich ein Rennen vor Ort besuche und heftig Geld für´s Ticket zahlen muss, dann will ich von den Fahrern zumindest teilweise Geld zurück. Nämlich wenn ohne Rücksicht auf Verluste der Vordermann einfach so angestoßen wird, daß ein Unfall & Ausfall provoziert wird.
