Motorized Bike Mud & Rain

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Today we ride the yd100 trail bike build through the mud and rain until something breaks. Why you might ask, because it was fun!
Every time I get on a bike it's fun! Even if you know you will have to work on it later.

When it was running and sorta boggy,I thought it was a soaked air filter.I've had that happen and just squeezed out the water and kept going.Another great video.TY.

You know that could be what caused loss in power before the plug died. The last time a plug died on me it had full power until it cut out. And the filter cover does not protect the intake from rain like the older NT carbs... Good point man!

Those BT & YD motors really like that baffle blown out of it to breath, drops head temps down, best is to cut the top off and just gut it, them reweld or have someone do it for you , run cap on with existing hole plus a 1/4 opposite it, wrapped in header wrap to keep the internal temp consistant, boost in torque, power and lower head temp. Oh yeah you got some great vids mate two thumbs up

Definitely some of the best motorized footage out there ! I say that because you aren't trying to make a sale . Most people I've met while on mine think it's a motorcycle . I have to tell them quickly that it's not a motorcycle . You can neglect a motorcycle to some extent , you can't neglect these at all . You must figure on a minimum scale that 100 miles equals 10 minutes of maintenance ( minimum on the rare ) . I won't build them for people because of a local builder . People were constantly stopping me to complain about his work and wanted me to fix their bike . I wouldn't do it . I had to explain to his customers that these aren't motorcycles ( the common misconception ) , they require constant attention . Even if I built your bike it would need you to keep it tight . The public isn't ready for these yet . Excellent videos !!! Extremely realistic and brutal conditions !!!!! Thanks for your hard work .

I could have said it better ,...it wasn't the local builders fault so it wasn't because of him . It was his customers eagerly wanting to slash his throat ! The local builder didn't do anything wrong . He wasn't that kinda guy . It was his clients fault for not listening to him !!! I'm not as eloquent as I once was .

I'm honestly more amazed that the bike itself held up through the adventure than the motor, but amazed that those engines actually still work even when it is pouring rain. I have been watching your videos for a while and find them very informative and inspiring, in fact they are what convinced me to buy an engine kit! I'm currently using a Grubee GT5B and I really enjoy it and they seem to be well made engines for the price. But like you I had mine randomly die only after a couple weeks of using it, oddly enough though it gave me trouble after riding in the rain, was misfiring for a few rides to and from work then just would not start at all. Took it apart checked the head seal, the carb, and even for spark, it all seemed okay. Bought some spare parts including a better CDI, that did not fix it... then I changed the plug and it fired up and idled flawlessly, I say what? So I used the new plug for a while then took the old plug, cleaned it really well and just slightly closed the gap on two of the three points (it is a 3 point plug). Put the old plug back in and it worked just as good as the new one and have used it for over two weeks! Honestly makes no sense to me LOL Also if it means anything you I found a CDI circuit on a forum and tried driving a small CCFL inverter transformer with it and was able to get surprisingly good results.

Thank you for the video. Hell yeah man. Looks like fun. I wish my body could take the beating to do that. Glad you are having fun and staying safe. I have 3 80cc bikes. Two mainly for street one for the trails. they closed the walking trail where I live. But I could still just ride to the country roads. Have a great day. It just stopped raining here so I'm going to go ride my bikes. Right now.

What a good puppy. My one and only wreck on my bike was caused by my daughters dog- smart as a whip but just does not tolerate that damn noisy bike and she ran out in front of me as I was rounding a turn so I had to swerve abruptly to avoid hitting her- well I still ran over her and slid several feet scraping the skin off a palm and a knee but dog came out of it absolutely fine! Here's a lesson in physics, If there is no way to explain how the bottle can improve performance and all testing indicates that something is wrong then it is definitive. The bottle was some tweakers spun-out crazy idea that obviously doesn't work. From this point on when someone mentions this bottle concept, immediately slap them till no-onr ever brings it up again. Maybe in 100 years it will finally be forgotten.
