This video is perctly on point I purchased a SS107 and the Motoguide XI3 without pin point GPS.

Awesome products still hoping for a bow mount for a topwater/sportsman pdl!

So happy I found this video! Thanks for doing this video! We have a new Tahoe 1950 with 3 fish finders (check out that video on our channel!). We added everything, but we were missing the Pinpoint!

Can you do a video of your setup for the trolling motor.

FYI ... I replaced my old Minn Kota Power Drive with a Motor Guide Xi3. My main concern was modifying the Minn Kota quick release mount to fit the Xi3. Didn't want to drill new holes in my boat. No problem. Xi3 fits perfectly on Minn kota quick release mount. Fish On!

I don't. It did fit using the quick release from my old Minn Kita. Problem was it didn't work. Had on the water twice. Even talked with MG on water and could not get it to work completely. Did like what did work so when Bass Pro took it back I ordered another. It arrived broken in the shipping container. Bass Pro took it back also. Done with MG. Paid a bit more for a Minn Kota but it works Super. Bass Pro Shop was awesome. If you go with MG make sure you can return it. I have no faith in their product. Good Luck.

Also ... It would have taken months to get repaired. Be careful.

How do you deploy that when on the water? Does it have trim function so you can raise and lower it?

How well is spot lock working for you? I've seen feedback that's shows it doesn't work well and then I've seen feedback that shows it does.

Do you know if the new motor guide xi3 with the 36 inch shaft come with the pinpoint and gps already installed on unit. I currently have the Garmin live scope and Garmin graph. Do you guys have a video on how to set up motor guide to work with Garmin graph thanks for your reply in advance. Also I like the way you guys have your hobie pro angler 14 set up. That is what I’m currently running Thanks Randy

Can this motor be used for autonomous boat for a trip from Japan to Canada? Do the waypoints have a distance limitation?

That’s right if you buy it with pin point it’s already installed

What fishfinder with GPS can I install for the pinpoint?

Do you have to calibrate it every time you disconnect the battery or just a one time thing

That’s for the cable to connect your graph to. You will need the nema cable

@@OneObjective Thanks! I am not sure though, since the PinPoint system is now installed, why I would need to hook up my graph/GPS to it. What would that do if I can already anchor and such using PinPoint? I'm sorry, this is all new to me and I literally cannot find information for this unit anywhere else.

is there a benefit to doing this instead of just buying the one with GPS built in?

There is no benefit to it. it’s just hard to get them with gps and easier right now to do it this way

I bought an xi3 and it came installed. It looks exactly like this installation so I don't think that there's any difference.

Does the "basic" version of the Xi3 at 859usd$ have the spotlock

It’s so you can hook your fishfinder to it for GPS

Will anchor still work without hooking it to your fish finder?

@@tbonekelley Yes Anchor lock works using the pinpoint. You can then network to a Lowrance finder to allow you to run with the finder and also to select a waypoint and it will auto steer to that point. The network also will show the power percentage being used and the heading when on auto steer.
