Motorcycle Traction Control Explained | KTM
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
Motorcycle Traction Control Systems helps to accelerate, brake and steer properly and efficiently, which makes riding safer and easier. It is particularly useful when riding over slippery surfaces, as it can aid in maintaining enough grip to help the bike stay on the road while increasing speed under these conditions.
Motorcycle Traction Control systems (TSC) uses wheel-speed sensors to gauge the speed at which the wheels are spinning. If one wheel is spinning more quickly than the others, it would be easy to lose control. As soon as the sensors pick up a difference in speed, the Traction Control system encourages the brake to lessen the speed of that wheel so that it slows down in line with the speed of the other wheels. This limits the chances of skidding or sliding off the road.

i have tested my ktm 690 on mud with almost slick tires for track and it was acting perfectly, with my old bmw supermoto it was very hard to drive there even with dunlop mutant tires, rear tire was too slow or too fast but new ktm make rear wheel spin exactly as front wheel, and dont allow to open throttle if there is no grip
Thank you for a clear video. (More spokes.)
on street, traction control mostly activate when full throttling at start, and then your engine jerks and you look like someone having trouble on his bike

I own a KTM Duke 390 . Its fantastic.
Translation for street riders: stay off of the throttle when your bike is leaned over in a slick corner, and you’ll be fine. Traction control is only needed if you’re riding improperly or trying to push the pace faster than you should be on the street.

If you ride around casually with 180 hp under your bollocks, it wont be long before you try and set them free (the horsepower 🤭) sometimes tree Sap, a shady corner that the sun has not hit yet or any other spilled contaminant can make things fun. With thr ktm mtc depending on the riding mode, for example I only ride in sport, so it let's it slip enough to give you a massive grin, I've never personally noticed the light flashing but I tend to look where I'm going.

But what average rider would try to open up the throttle mid corner. That’s just asking for less traction.
He doesnt even opens same throttle in both videos you scams
For all the wannabe-motoGP-pros here: Jump to minute 9:45 in the following video and ask yourself whether you would have managed that situation without TC or would end up like the biker in the next video sequence. kzread.info/dash/bejne/hGyml7OpmpC0mqw.html

Turn off your TC and learn to use your throttle - TC essentially does diminished riders skills.
I came here because I was frustrated that a 7000USD Honda motorcycle does not have traction control while the 5000USD CFMoto unit has one.
Interesting that nearly all Japanese brands dont offer even as an option the TC.

It doesn’t change anything. Traction control is traction control, regardless of the bike or tires. It has one job to do, stabilize the rider.
