I have seen one of these Big Horns, in action. Boy you talk about a two stroke thumper! This motorcycle is crazy man, you better hold on tight when you get him running!
In the good 'ol US of A, it seems there are farms and property's in the middle of nowhere around every corner with barns stuffed with old cars and bikes just waiting to be snapped up. Here in the UK that has dried up years ago hence all the US imports of 70's and 80's bikes that have proliferated over the last few years. One of the things i envy about you guys over there.

Better visit soon. Comunists are trying to destroy USA. I currently enjoy USA and my Kawasaki LTD 1000. Have a nice day.
I haven't visited your channel in a long time it seems, but I always find myself coming back to watch the Barn Fresh series about once a year. Great content!!
I like the way you think. By asking all these questions it prepares you for what you are getting yourself into
I AM RESTORING A 1953 BSA GOLDEN FLASH 650cc FROM SCRATCH STARTING WITH A BARE FRAME AND THEN A BARE CRANKCASE - SO FAR - I HAVE 14+ YEARS INTO THE ACQUISITION OF ONLY THE BEST OF THE BEST PARTS I CAN FIND FROM GLOBAL RESOURCES. I NOW HAVE 99% OF THE MOTORCYCLE. I FIGURE ANOTHER 2 YEARS AND IT'LL BE FINISHED AND READY FOR SHOWING.
Enjoyable fella, will take a look at the rest of the series... nothing like rebuilding em..

Way cool video Junkman. Ive wanted a 350 Big Horn for as long as i can remember. I noticed the 250 has a very rare Bassini expansion chamber that could bring some bucks on E-bay if you wanted to part that bike out.

Great looking bikes! really like the Orange one, Subbed and I just noticed that Yellow Truck in the back ground looks like my 53 IHC R-160 COE truck :)

Thanks. Watch the whole series and see how I restore the orange one, also I use the other two and make a performance oriented Vintage motocross racer. BTW the truck in the background is a 1957 FWD (Four Wheel Drive Company) with SnoGo snowblower and 14L Climax engine on the back to drive the blower. Kawasaki 350 Enduro, How Cool ...
I'd rather have one of those than a bran new one .👍
Oh I recognise this song. It's from a cloppers game on Newsgrounds that's actually pretty good.
I restored a 1963 Lincoln Continental. I think I want to do a bike now. How much did those bikes cost and could you recommend any salvage yards for old bikes I prefer older bikes as a collector. I want to do a bike and restore it to original condition.
Looks like the Kawasaki had a cow take a bite out of it. Yes ... that actually happened to my friend.
I enjoyed Is watching your video. I'm working on the same One A 1974 350 big horn . It was just wondering if you would have a clutch cover and cable. That you would want to sell. Let me know that be great thank you

Hey Junkman! I’m wondering if you have any more info on the exhaust/muffler on that orange bike you didn’t choose? Shows up at about 4:15. My 1974 Kawasaki F7 I’m restoring has that style exhaust, and it doesn’t look stock. Thought it was some custom thing until seeing a matching one now. Thanks!

There was a Kawasaki triple also lurking in that shed with an early style one piece alternator cover. A 350 S2?. Why are the indicators slow and feeble on my F9B?. Yes its a new battery, I've checked the earth's and I've tried three different flasher units!!!.
@thejunkman
5 жыл бұрын
It is just how they are. It has to do with the bulb filaments and how they react with the flasher. Old 6V electrics are pretty much all like this.

@@thejunkman Thank you for replying to my F9B enqiury. I have the correct wattage indicator bulbs and I've wired individual earths to the rear indicator heads ( the Kawasaki system is penny pinching crap ). I've been through the system with my multimeter and can't find any short's or problems. It's a ball ache so you could be right. If that was an S2 in that dusty shed please restore that next as I'm do'ing an early 1971 biult S2.

It is. I have a bunch of triples, each displacement already fixed up, but I did these before KZread existed. These are just ones for either parts or other complete bikes to restore in retirement. I am focusing on upgrading my equipment for video production so those will not be done anytime soon.

@@thejunkman That's a shame. I would have enjoyed a blow by blow triple resto series. I'm pleased with mine as it's shabby but hasn't been faffed about with by the look of the fixings and crank case sealant. I've spent a kings ransome on NOS parts but this hobby's become very popular and parts are being vacuumed up at an alarming rate. I blame you!!!.
@thejunkman

They are popular over in the UK I see. I have been doing this a long time and not just on the internet. www.thejunkmanadv.com/about-the-junkman.html You can see a few bikes and other things right here on my website.

Thanks for the reply and more importantly - thanks for taking the time to share the experience/knowledge. As a keen newcomer to restoration I have a couple of projects in mind but don't have an unlimited budget. I think the indicator I am looking for would be the ratio between initial investment and final reveal costs on a project that is a practical endeavour. I am probably as guilty as yourself of emotional investment where there is provenance but would also like to have a metric to know when something is worthwhile the effort on a project for profit. Keep up the good work and I appreciate you sharing with us all.

vincent yap not long I would check every part to see if it is rusted and how badly if it’s not that rusted it’s fixable but if the engine is clapped then get a new one then check if the gas tank is in good condition if it has or (had) gas in it for a while most definitely probably need a new gas tank and the throttle is or is not in good condition then you could get new throttle stuff
@thejunkman

Watch all 13 episodes and you can see the condition things were in. I will tell you this, it took longer to film and edit these videos (which first aired on Blip.tv) than it did to restore the motorcycle.
