I failed to find the parts I wanted, but I did manage to order them through Right Balance Motorsports in Urbana. I had the day off, so I took two rides. I successfully got the bike up to about 60, made it safely onto and off of a couple of state highways, and mailed a letter from the St. Joseph post office.
I found an old Go-Pro knock-off camera and glued it to my helmet. I tried narrating over the audio, but I misjudged how loud the wind would be. But the scenery is still nice.
