I'm going to replace the AM radio and cubby hole on my 96 Hijet with a double DIN ATOTO Android stereo with a backup camera. I'm probably putting four 6.5" marine speakers in the corners of the cab roof, up out of harm's way in this off road truck. I still need to replace the air filter. I also have the gear oil to replace the fluid in the manual transmission, transfer case, front differential and rear differential. I've been waiting on a warm dry day. Maybe tomorrow. When I did the oil change, there was a small weeping leak at the drain plug. The Japanese farmer neglected to use a crush washer so it leaked, so he tightened it way too much and it still had a slight leak. I replaced the drain plug with a Fumoto F-133 oil drain valve. It threaded in tightly despite the damaged threads. The fiber washer stopped the leak and the valve will prevent future thread damage while making oil changes very clean and easy. My Hijet has a LOT of vacuum hoses. The top of the engine looks like a dirty plate of spaghetti. I bought blue silicone vacuum hose so I can keep track of the 27 year old black rubber vacuum hoses that I'm replacing, to prevent future vacuum leaks. I have the replacement spark plugs, along with anti-seize for the treads and dielectric grease for the boots. I translated a Daihatsu spark plug chart from Japanese and put it on the Mini Truck Talk forum if anyone needs to know what plugs their Daihatsu needs. I'm probably going to hold off and replace the plug wires, distributor cap and rotor at the same time. Thanks for the reminder to check my Hijet's motor mounts. I need to replace the clutch so I'll check them then. I'll eventually install a 2" coil over lift kit but not large tires because I mostly drive on road. I need to pull off the door cards so I can clean and lubricate the window crank mechanisms. 25+ years of dusty farm work has them crufty and difficult to roll up and down. I'll also install the Amazon remote power door locks while I'm in there. Door lock cylinders aren't good for much more than 25 years so I want to stop using the key to unlock the doors so I don't wear them out. The roads are salted here in the winter so I'm going to spray the undercarriage and frame (inside and out) with Surface Shield to prevent frame corrosion. I bought a new 1997 Tacoma and it had the manufacturing defect where the frame wasn't dipped to prevent corrosion so it rusted through at 91,000 miles even though I'm on the southern end of the rust belt and seldom drove on salted roads. I could no longer use it as a truck but continued to drive it as a 20 MPG two seat car until the frame rusted completely in half at 137,000 miles. Like me, you seem to do a lot of work at night. :-)

Great video & great truck. I got about 4 weeks till my Sambar comes to Freeport. I hope I can make a video as good as you some day. Never done one or know anything about editing but for the Kei Truck I'll put something out there. Good purchase. Bless up to you & da family! One Love
