    I bought the original Motool Slacker about 8 years ago and love it. Pro tip: You can drill a tiny pilot hole on the side of your rear fender at bottom for a quicker and easier set up. You don't even see the hole from a few feet away.

    @@highlandcycles OR - you could use the cable and measure from the center of swing arm axle to the center of the rear wheel axle and then go up to the side number plate and drill your hole there. I believe that's where the clamp they include, is actually supposed to go.

    Just bought one on an Instagram deal for $99. Iv always wanted one because I don’t always have the help in the shop. I was setting up my new 24 ktm 450 last night with new rear spring. Got it dialed in so much faster with this tool without any help needed. My yz was set at 105mm of sag back in may so I pulled that out and wanted to check it with this tool and it was spot on the 105 where I previously set it with my motion pro sag tool so I’m confident it’s accurate. Statistic sag and total sag so easy for one person to check now.

    You forgot to mention the Motool Service Assistant app. It's a useful tool for logging suspension settings, keeping track of adjustments, and recording notes for different conditions. It can be a valuable asset for riders who want to fine-tune their suspension setup.

    the Slacker is great. I've never compared its accuracy to a ruler but, maybe something neat to test out (I have no reason to suspect its off). Also the little adhesive tabs for the hook are really useful too. They're still hanging on to my bikes after a year.

    I’ve been using one for about a year they’re really fantastic, it also amazes me how much my sag changes based on what size Camelback I’m wearing and whether or not I’m carrying tools.

    My wife got me one of these for Christmas a few years back. I don't think she really knows how useful it is for me since I'm almost always in my shop working solo. I have a pre blue tooth model and the thing still works great. Doesn't run the batteries down at all. It's gotta be more accurate then a person with a yard stick.

    Here's 1 for you. 2016 FC450 clutch lost action at the lever and could not disengage, but it works with the engine not running. Start it and no clutch. I am not concerned about it because I have been meaning to go through the clutch. I am going to put all new plates and slave cylinder. Oh there is no loss of fluid that I can tell but the 16 husky magura slave cylinder has been known to fail due to the seal tearing. I have a rebuild kit for the slave but I think that I will replace the slave cylinder with a rekluse

    If you use it on the same bike a lot, drill a small hole in the fender so you can connect the hook directly and save some time dealing with that bracket. It's also more accurate as the bracket can shift around a bit. I have one of the old ones didn't know they came out with a bluetooth version. Does the app store your settings as well?

    Hey Morgan, wonder if you can help. 2017 KTM 300 EXC. The rear brake caliper piston will come out easily but wont go back. Ended up with the pads stuck onto the rotor. Had to pull the pads out to get home.

  • @highlandcycles

    Damn of course right after I bought the drc I see this! Drc "works" better than nothing but it's a little dicey as far as accuracy. Btw you need a heavier spring if your static is at 25 no? It should be 30-35mm?

  • @highlandcycles

  • @highlandcycles

    Because you are supposed to be standing in general and it puts your weight where it’s supposed to be for the best performance

    @@highlandcycles Ah, I see. I do a lot of sitting on my dual sport KTM. There was a surprisingly big difference in sag (about 10 mm) between sitting and standing.

    Hey Morgan, here’s a question for you. If your bike is lowered 1”, would you reduce the sag or not?

  • @highlandcycles

    @highlandcycles

    Yes. But not an inch necessarily. You need to determine the total travel now and then you want sag to be 1/3 of that
