Still to this day the best MotoGP race I’ve ever seen, at the height of the Rossi-Lorenzo-Stoner-Pedrosa dynamic of the sport. Great times.

2009 was the peak. In 2008, Lorenzo was weak most of the season, Pedrosa injured and Rossi dominated the second half. In 2010, Rossi had his big crash and was injured, Stoner had a bad bike and Lorenzo dominated. In 2011, Rossi was on the bad Ducati and Stoner dominated most of the season. And in 2012, Rossi still had a bad Ducati, Stoner was injured and Pedrosa and Lorenzo battled it out

Motorsport at its absolute best, two riders on the best bikes at the time at the peak of their powers. What a treat, feels like yesterday watching this live jumping around the living room

One Of the Best races. I'm still being astonished by the last overtake even now, nearly 14 years later

Man I had tears in the last 2 laps. What a battle holy moly. Insane skills. Proper dogfight. Well done to both of them.

It is 2023 and this race still is tearing me up. What a performance of Rossi. Just a clean fought victory, that demonstrated his skill on how to stay cool under pressure.

This race will never get old... Lorenzo thought he had rossi going into final set of corners and left the door open for THAT last corner, Rossi saw that and overtook in a place where Lorenzo thought it was impossible to overtake... "what a race" Neatly summed up by Nick Harris...

Rossi have done that overtake on Stoner in 2007 on the same corner. As u said Rossi saw that opportunity where Lorenzo thought it was impossible... Lorenzo should have watch more races I guess haha

Every time I'm feeling down, I just watch this race and my mood came back again

Oh I have such mixed memories of this incredible GP. I watched it with a now deceased life long friend and we were motorsports mad, never missed the Moto GP or F1 no matter the time UK. This was just a sensational race, peak Moto GP for my money, and we watched it in amazement on the edge of our seats. But now that friend Danny has gone at 45 years old, far too soon. I have fond memories like this that remind me of the good time's Dan lad. I miss you mate! 🙏

In the pure one-on-one dogfight scenario Vale Rossi was unbeatable, and that overtake in the final corner something unimaginable

Still one of my favourite races. That overtake from Rossi in the last corner had me shouting.

As a Lorenzo's fan, I must admit that Vale movement was brilliant. Rossi is the number one. Bravo Vale!

it was amazing, a rider who showed sportsmanship and neat way of playing, rossi and lorenzo fought each other for positions and it was very very stressful and they also played well and neatly... in those days motogp was very exciting and they were all the best riders of all time.
