Almost everything is made in China these days, it’s either good or it isn’t, where it’s made is irrelevant really isn’t it?

Ten years ago I would have stayed away from Chinese built bikes… but clearly they have been spending their time mastering the craft and improving build quality, companies like cfmoto are now building components for brands like KTM and others so we are getting Chinese parts and build quality no matter which bike we choose it seems! So how can the affordability of these brands be ignored now? For me as long as customer service and parts availability are there I have no problem

I’m definitely interested in this bike and the new wave of motorcycle brands from china. Would they be revolutionary and better or equally as good as the rest on the market currently?

Well one thing is for sure, we are definitely going to find out! With so many Chinese owned motorcycle companies now on the market it’s inevitable we will soon all have experience with them one way or the other

Ive never seen one but it looks a loverly bike, the quality has improved on the chinese made bikes. I would defo look at one. Great honest review again Rich 👏 it does look cool and 650 is plenty.

I’m looking forward to what Moto Morini are bringing to the table, the x cape 650 adv bike looks good but they are also bringing to us a 1200cc V Twin adv bike! I’ve seen pics and it looks epic! The sound of a big V twin in an Adventure bike is a winner! Brands like this are making it harder and Harder to justify £18k on an Africa twin for example? To buy a new bike and have £10,000 more change in your pocket is a bloody good incentive

A simple, no frills bike. Like it. But can't see a grab handle for pullions, or a mainstand. Do they do a decent tool kit under the seat? But i love simpke. So much less to go wrong. Ride safe 👍

No pillion grab handles or main stand in this one I’m afraid, will come with a basic tool kit but they are just a token gesture on any bike in my opinion

As pointed out almost everything is made in China. Fires caused by charging electric cycles are blamed on ‘cheap Chinese batteries’, which is true in part. However, I’ve got an expensive Specialized electric mountain bike and I thought I’d check where the battery was made. Yep…China! The reality is that China now dominates manufacturing worldwide and which is why it’s unfair to blame China over its emissions excesses - effectively other countries, and especially the US, export their emissions to China. Anyhow I’ve never read a review of Moto Morini (in its current form) and this is interesting! Glad to see you safely back from your travels.

@@ontheroadadventure1300 kms so far. No troubles. Transmission shifting is more like a Yamaha Bolt than say a Kawasaki KLX230, which is to say it requires more deliberation. Have added some aftermarket items from GP Kompozit in Turkey. Their windshield for the 300 Heritage fits the 700 well. The poly wheel fenders can rattle a bit on the gravel road washboard we have here in Canada. I run with the “eco” mode more than the “Sport” mode. Still lots of power for cruising. Sport mode is more than this old man needs but lots of fun for a burst of speed. Cruise control is pretty nice. Really excellent headlight at night.
