That's just crazy cold! We saw it was supposed to be zero degrees at the house in Mena. Brrrrrr!!!

Hi guys...it was good talking with you yesterday...just watched the weather...looks like North Dakota decided to visit Texas...lol...we didn't make quartzite this year in all that wind...thinking about maybe in January..Merry Christmas...thanks for the video...stay safe ...J&A

Thanks for taking us along with your experience there! Too bad you didn't get to hike the Santa Elena Canyon trail. It was one of our favorites! We did take the Old Maverick Rd back to our RV park in Study Butte/ Terlingua. Also, we checked out the ghost town and cemetery there. We are so glad we were finally able to experience Big Bend NP! It was definitely worth the trip!

Kate would of been hilarious see Bubba spread out like a giant Angel 😇😂👼. Weather in Portland Oregon today rain. Thursday and Friday is supposed to have sleet and freezing rain. I 84 in the gorge is closed due to black ice and snow. Can't wait to get out of here. Going to play hooky tomorrow and Friday. City can chain up and plow I'm not this year. Just coming off two months of seven (7) days straight no time off other than turkey day. Be safe. Daughter said San Antonio Texas is colder than all get out. Heard Jim and Kellie even said it's colder than normal this year down south. You folks have a very MERRY CHRISTMAS ⛄🎄 And. HAPPY NEW YEAR 💖🎊. As usual, I love your edits. You make wonderful videos. I do not know what the tine-line is--where are you today as I watch this? This was the wrong year for a motorcycle road trip, heck, any kind of road trip. we are expecting 17 degrees F, Thursday night, 12/23/22, and the weekend highs are going to be in the 20's in the Atlanta area. Even Florida will be cold this Christmas. You guys stay safe and I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy, and prosperous, New Year.

Thank you so much! Right now we're in Galveston, Texas. It's supposed to drop below freezing along the Gulf, so we're tucked into a hotel until after Christmas. This year is so different from previous winters we have spent down here. Definitely not a good year for tent camping. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your loved ones as well!

Good video 😀 can't believe you parked your rig's in favor of traveling by motorcycle i know diesel fuel is high along with other expenses you guys are seem to be enjoying your trips by the way jonesntotravel is selling there rig truck and trailer for motorhome Dutch star at one time there were four of you that had hdt's now only two are traveling I'm in California looking at hdt's there pricey used right now do you have any advice pro's or con's be safe and have fun 👍 😀

Thank you! The cost of diesel was a factor, but traveling on bikes has been a lifelong dream for Bubba. I'm glad we're getting a chance to do this. We saw Aaron and Tina's big news! After all they have been through with their DRV, we don't blame them one bit. Truck prices have gone sky high but I think our struggling economy will bring them back down some. When we were looking for a truck we had a heavy diesel mechanic recommend we go with a pre-2007 with a Cummins. That way they're pre-emissions and any diesel mechanic in the country can work on them. Don't get a Volvo engine - mechanics are scarce as are parts. We have heard so many horror stories. If you look at a Volvo, make sure it has a Cummins or Detroit under the hood. Finally, if you're going to remain domiciled in California, try to find one that's already titled as an RV because it's nearly impossible to get one re-titled in that state. Ours is titled as a private truck but South Dakota, where we're domiciled, is super easy to deal with.
