For me, Motley was 1981 - 1991. So glad I saw them in their prime.
even when john is sliding up and down the neck was a give away for me

@@davemasters7629 FALSE!!!!!!!! "JOHN 5 " is the ONLY Real genuine deal in the Band now!!!! Another reason why they got him/needed him in the band! ✔✔, MIck Mars is greatly missed of course! 😥
At this point, a ticket buyer knows what they're getting with Crue as a live act. I don't blame the band, they got bills to pay.
I came here after watching a few recent live performances of Def Leppard's 'Comin' Under Fire.' It was a short stay. Night and day. Wow.

If you are a Def Leppard fan (as am I), then you know Vivian Campbell is in the band. You may also know that Vivian was the original guitarist for Dio and played on the first three albums. You may also know that he has four new albums with his band Last in Line. Watching Vivian play lead guitar never gets old. Here is one of the best. Enjoy! kzread.info/dash/bejne/n2qiu5amopi3dJc.html

I really don't know why people come to watch this video and speak poorly about the band. When I was 16, I saw Motley for the first time at Alpine Valley in Wisconsin in 1987 on the Girls, Girls, Girls tour. We saw them a couple of years ago on the stadium tour. It was clear that Mick's movement was severely hindered. He is an iconic player who wrote many memorable riffs and solos. As a fan for over 35 years, I am thrilled that my 18 year old son and I were able to attend this concert, see these legends, and hear their songs together. Have they aged? Yes. So have I. Instead of being upset that they aren't who they were in 1987, I have a spirit of gratitude that my son and I were able to see and hear them perform live together. We are both John 5 fans as well. He is a top-notch guitarist! We are seeing him at an upcoming solo show in Madison and look forward to meeting him at the meet and greet. I am thankful that John 5 joined the band so that these songs can continue to be played live. By the way, in this attached video, John 5 explains what he is doing live. kzread.infoIggweZpimV4

If you listen closely the backing track and is doing the high part and he’s doing the somewhat low part. They use backing track no doubt but almost every live band does today. especially bands with only one guitarist, gonna have guitar going on during the solos. He’s still playing trust me. My band LILIAC opus for John on his last tour he’s a phenomenal guitarist and an even better human. The guys is seriously a fantastic person.

Damn, at least use a Vince track if you are gonna.
I had a bad broken ankle once that wouldn't heal so i decided to push through the pain and go back to hanging drywall. It was ugly for awhile but eventually I made it back. Maybe Vince is just broken but allowing us to see his perseverance. Personally, i think its admirable to allow us to see him make mistakes yet keep pushing through. If he's dedicated to this, he'll shake back. I just miss Mick. They should record with Mick and have a new guest guitarist for every gig. Id love to see Holmes jam with Crüe. Wylde, Adrian Smith, Satriani, Wolfie, whoever. Let that little chinese kid on Instagram do a gig. Make the shit fun. John 5 is a copycat master. Everyone knows that. Sure, he can play anyone's shit. I want some style. Personality. Stop playing Mick's riffs cause you sound like a poser. Noone can play Mick's tunes but Mick. Period. Vince stop being lazy and rorate guitarists every single gig. Thats the answer to a little more Crue. Yall wanna listen to real shit, check out Mick Mars' new solo shit. Totally bad ass!!! And Vince should take lessons from Jizzy Pearl on longevity.
This band isn't even on life support. They're already 6 feet under.

I have to agree. Something is up. Does he have an ailment or is he lazy? Or is he shamelessly allowing us to see his perseverance as he tries to come back. Was he worse off than we knew? Only time will tell. Maybe he drank too much. That will give you early onset Parkinson's or similar brain trauma. 65 years old is a bs excuse. Dickinson is 65 and still bad ass. Fuckin Di'anno sounds better from his wheelchair than Vince ever did.
Time for a change!

Well, at least you admit you are stupid. It's a one guitar band- he can't do both parts. And I hate to tell you, often times one guitar bands have behind stage guitar players playing rhythm parts. Here’s my take on Motley Crue…. I’m in agreement in Vince retiring but… They are not Motley Crue without him singing. If he’s not up there, people aren’t going to buy the tickets and everyone knows how bad he is right now but still buy the tickets lol… So here’s my take, don’t buy the phucking tickets and he will retire… until than, go make that money Crue!

@@davidwhite6394 were you there? Because I was and I was in the pit. I tuned around and I seen one tiny spot way the hell in the back and it looked like maybe 30 seats were not sold and that amptheater holds a bit over 40,000. I'd say pretty damn close to sold out.
I constantly see so much hate for Vince in the comments. I actually think Vince is doing better these days compared to for instance the 2015 farewell tour. At the end of the day, he is the voice of Mötley Crüe and for better or worse his voice is the voice that I want to hear when I go to a Crüe show. He was never an incredible vocalist to begin with so don’t expect him to be one now.
I just saw another video. It took a long time for Vince to get into it. It got better towards the end. They snuck a Beastie Boys song in there.

@bon6461

@@randyhollowell4323Agreed. No Mick, No Crue. Unless Vince can get his shit together. I'm left wondering if he's dealing with emphysema or something else. Something is affecting every single performance and it's not his age because 65 ain't shit. Bruce Dickinson is 65 and kicks ass. Rob Halford is 71. Different genres, but Smokey Robinson is 70+ and smooth as glass. Chuck Berry, Fats Domino and Satchmo sounded amazing past 80. Aretha sounded the same until the end. Vince is lazy. He could quit the booze and save the band's rep. Hell, maybe that's what we're witnessing. I broke my ankle once and it wouldn't heal for shit so I taped it up and limped at work, hanging 12 foot sheets of 3/4 inch drywall above my head. I'm still limping but I'm strong as a mf. Maybe we're witnessing his comeback. ( Everyone's hair has that ugly stage when you grow it out right? Is this the ugly stage?😅) I dunno man, Vince is letting us all Down but I'm gonna give em another year and see what happens. Everybody can't be a Sammy Hagar. Btw, Mick Mars new shit kicks ass !
