Theres not many people out there that are going where they WANT to go, there going where ever life takes them. I don't feel like life brought me to race motocross. It was a decision I made when I was young and I have followed it till this day. So I feel like people say negative things because there stuck flippin burgers and I'm stuck on a track raceing motocross for the same amount of hours and loving every bit of it!.

Good for you man, I respect that. I'm not even 16 yet and you could say I recently fell in love with this sport, I don't have anyone who really knows too much about it, I had to research and go on forums to ask for help, other than that almost everyone in my family tried to convince me to let it go. Luckily they haven't stopped me and my dad is still supporting me, but learning everything by myself is harder than it may seem, I'll never quit though.

I have started riding this year and I'm fourteen I don't know how I'm going to do it but I want to become pro I have a 1985 yz125 that I have freshly rebuilt myself, I rebuilt it in two days and immediately had to go to my first race with no experience, then I learn how to pre jump and etcetera in a year. Every night I wish to become pro hoping for some day for it to happen and I start to work out and I do it for 1 hour at a time a day.

Troy Kingman same, this was typed out two years ago. Idk if you got a bike but I used to race when I was 5 till I was 12, my parents split in the middle of the mid America championship series, I was first all season and the last 8 races I broke my tibia and tore my acl at practice. Then after that my dad and my mom were moved apart, my dad sold my bike and forced me to stop. I’ve always wanted to race again, it was something I loved that got taken away from me. I’m 16 now, and I don’t think I’ve ever went a single day without wanting to ride again. I got a job this week, already saved up 130$ I’m going to buy a bike finally after almost 5 years of wanting to ride.

Motocross is not sport, Its the way of life. I don't imagine my life witouth it.And all the people say i can't do it, it makes me want to do it even more. It's just the way it is.And every time i fall, i try to ride faster, to be stronger, to beat everyone who say i can't do it.All i can say is- MY LIFE IS MOTOCROSS!!!!

I have this video saved on my phone and everytime I go to the track I put my headphones on and listen to it. I gotta say whenever I listen to it before I ride, it pisses me off. It makes me want to go out there and prove everybody wrong about every negative thing anybody has ever said about me. Block everything out, go out there get the job done, go home and know that at the end of the day I did what I wanted/had to do and had one hell of a time doing it.

a lot of people say how motocross is easy all you got to do is twist the throttle and go. but no there wrong, motocross is the most physical sport on the planet and then they say you need arm muscle to hold on, well ya you do but try holding a five pound helmet on your head for 30 min+ and having the toughest forces thrown at you like the "whoops" and see if you can go through that section of the course 20+ times and they wont do it. you see what im trying to say here is that motocross takes

Motocross. I wish I can do it so bad. I mean I have a dirt bike I Ride everyday and one thing about motocross is you need a decent amount of money you have to travel so I will never make it. Good luck to all of you other people much respect for you's working you're asses off I just cant afford a good bike to race though to so yeah. Good luck and don't expect to see me on the track.

motivation and that motivation goes to exercising and if you cant exercise then just don't try because you will not succeed under any circumstances and when I say succeed im saying just finishing not winning or getting top ten but just finishing the race and if you get that top ten remember there is still a main event that you have to compete in. so don't call the sport easy if you've never done it before

If you want something that bad, (as bad as the guy talks about in the video) you have deep issues that will never be resolved by achieving whatever goal you are set up as your idol. Winning is great and working hard for it is great too, but Seek first the Kingdom of God or nothing else will ever be satisfying.

Technically, it doesn't. Also, if you think about it, all those sports you listed above require more technically. That's why they have a ball boy for football, the booth for basketball has back up balls, and the ump in baseball has extra balls. Not to mention each player, has two balls. So that makes 3.

okay fair enough... im just a bit curious though, motocross is primarily a muscular endurance sport, correct? i understand that strengthening fast twitch fibers will ultimately increase muscular strength in shorter anaerobic bursts but motocross isnt an explosive, fast twitch fibre dominant sport like olympic lifting for example. in saying that i 100% agree that any rider needs to be strong holistically, but it just seems like the exercise is over complicated and silly.
