I remember in 2000 Langston Hughes is 1 of many of my favorites. It's a shame this generation prolly won't ever hear this one. I love this. 🙏 Thank You for my fond memories of my being a kid. I'm turning 34 n man Im glad I took the chance to be part of Poetry. 1 Love baby.

My mother raised us as a single parent. I almost cried watching. I unconciously hurted her especially in my adolescence. Many times I've been down. I think as a man I should stay strong and that's what I'm trying to do...

When I was 16, my mom and I were in the car and she said each generation should build on and learn from the experience of the previous generation

This is so emotional. It really makes you feel like time stopped and you’re just thinking

I'm going through a moment of hardship and I these words speak to me and I believe my mum would say those same words to me... You got to just keep fighting and keep striving no matter what.

I got a different video from online school but then I see this. I’m like this one is way more easier to understand with the images. And this is really heart-touching video. I love it.

To me, this poem says exactly why we should be strengthening our children so they can accept themselves as they were born instead of trying to sugar coat everything around them.
