Without reacting, you should also watch the official music video, filmed as she walks some London neighborhoods, to more upbeat music. See if you recognize any venues. Many will recommend "Bad Valentine", which you both will enjoy. The current version is of excellent quality but, as Toby explains, the offcial release is months away. So you may want to wait for that.

Angelina's toolbox is vast, she can sing almost anything. That is the amount of skill she has, she covered so many artists and genres that she can tap to them whenever she likes. Mother, I usually agree with your comments on Angelina. I would disagree that she “found her voice” on this song. It’s an unusual voice for Angelina, but it’s one of the “girl-with-a-thousand-voices” voice. It’s definitely a more mature voice now, but Angelina just continues to show us different voice for different genres. I think Angelina is most natural as a jazz singer. There is only one Angelina Jordan, and only one signature storytelling voice unlike anyone else on the face of the earth, not a thousand different voices, if that were true, she would not have a signature sound. Having a signature sound means as soon as she sings the first few notes you know it is AJ.

I believe Angelina could sing any song a cappella (without any instruments). I think Angelina is at her storytelling best with this performance. But to get a real taste of what's in store for the remainder of this year, please, please, please get a copy of James Thiels' approved updated live performance of "Bad Valentine. It is quite like the 'Academy Award' winning song/video for 'Streets of Philadelphia' where Bruce Springsteen simply walks through the streets of Philadelphia while singing, and he in no way came close to the vocal power Angelina delivers in her video.

A capella is singing without instruments: you only hear a voice or voices. Acoustic is making music with traditional non-electric instruments. Anyway, she just posted today an acoustic version of this song, sang live and partially acoustic. It's on her official channel.

I'm sure you've been told this already, but she *just* dropped a different version of this song recorded during the same session as this music video, but featuring what appears to be the real audio captured in the church (as opposed to the studio track we are hearing here). It sounds less processed, but otherwise very similar (well… except that she slows it down and sings the opening verse a cappella). It's on her official channel.
