It will be 30 years next year that my mum passed away she was 41... I'm 50 and it's still like yesterday. The pain gets easier to bear.. But it never goes away . I listen to the songs she listened to so feel close to her. 😊

So true. I remember this song i was just a little boy and he was on opportunity knocks. 50 years later it seems much more poignant. I guess thats all part of growing up.

I am Japanese, but when I listen to this song while watching the video, the thought becomes even stronger, and every time I hear this song, the face of my mother, who has already gone to heaven and is no longer in this world, comes to my mind and tears naturally come to my eyes. mother of mine she was the wind beneath my wings..since my dad's death. She became my mum dad sis and my best friend..love her miss her sooooooooooo Her words ...were so meaningful and looking back she knew best.. what was good for me..sadly cant turn back the clock..

This took me right back to 1971 when this song came out. It was so special to me at the time & always made me cry as I had lost my lovely mum 2 hrs previously when I was just 10 yrs old. It's so nice to hear it again.

I am blessed that I still have my mum who is 81. My adult children are my world and I can still see them both in tears when their dad and I left home for a 2 year stint in the Middle East, then their tears of joy when we came home again. My heart bleeds for those who have lost their mums. My best friend died last summer leaving 2 distraught young adults behind. Cherish mums while they are here, I know I do. x
