As far as I'm concerned Motorhead is The best band of all times. I've heard it all. I'm '73. You got to understand that I absolutely love Pink Floyd, Hendrix and all of them. I'm the singer in a fucking Death metal band from Serbia and we know that all of that came from that one band. They (Lemmy) had (singlehandedly) invented Punk, Trash Metal and all of humanity's loud music. Eternally grateful. And still preserving the soul of R'nR in its full potential. He has always said that Motorhead was Rock band. Not Metal or anything. And His favourite band of all times was The Beatles. I could not connect with them, but I like 'em and they do have some great songs. What I'm trying to say is that you have to put all of that Legends in their own time. The Beatles had invented Pop-Rock, Progressive Rock and even Hard Rock with Hellter Skallter. For me, i like Motorhead.

I know you'll hate me, but my favourite album is Another Perfect Day. I know we all hate that guy, but songs were so good. I still think think they could have made some great stuff. I just love Thin Lizzy, Metallica, and some other stuff like Gojira and so on.

the best fucking Rock band ever. I'm a French fan, I saw Motörhead the first time at the Zénith of Paris, the last time, at the Hellfest 2015. Motörhead was scheduled to perform on November 15, 2015 at the Bataclan, I had to go with my brother, this concert never took place following the tragedy that took place 2 days before. Damage. Lemmy was the epitome of Hard Rock. Rest in peace old wizard who knew how to captivate his fans. WE MISS YOU MAN !

1916 is a VERY heavy song. I used it to introduce a unit on WW1 to a grade 10 history class, telling them it was based on stories Lem's Grandpa had told him. I gave them lyrics to read along as it played. Hit most of them really hard. That would be a good closing song here.

My total respect to you as a history teacher for teaching this generation about history period. So many want to bury what we were always taught back in the day. Using that classic from Motorhead is a perfect plus 🤘. Only wish you were my teacher 30 years ago.

There's some real good tracks on here and well done indeed for not including any of the "classics" because as good as they are, they're certainly not the heaviest Motörhead tracks. Personally I would have included Over The Top too but that's just down to taste - not at all marking you down for a brilliant selection 👍👍👍

And Im amazed of how they went more hardcore with every new album as Lemmy got older, while most bands usually do the opposite and go more commercial with time.

@@doomrevolver8387 completely agree. I didn’t really like The World is Yours, but Aftershock and Bad Magic are two of their best albums imo. And Lemmy was in bad shape at that time. It’s like he put all he had into those songs. Amazing. And the artwork on Aftershock is my favorite out of all their albums. Cheers!🤘🏼

I agree, but, I think Lemmy meant, at its core, ALL music within the genré (of rock) be it metal, punk, thrash, speed metal, black metal, death metal etc etc is all essentially rock n roll... Being the very foundations of the music. Different timing doesn't change that fact.. Hence Motörhead = Rock n roll. Remember, he came out of the 60's way before the sex pistols, before Metallica, before Cannibal corpse.. When Lemmy started, Jimi Hendrix (he roadied for) the Beetles, The rolling Stones etc etc where the "heaviest" bands out there. Motörhead always transcended rock genrés. Rock, punk, Metal, even a bit of country; you'll find Lemmy and the boys have been there... Long before anyone else. 😎 Or maybe Lemmy just got tired of saying "We are Motörhead, and we're here to kick your ass!!" 😂 Probably felt a bit childish as he got older. 😉
