Lemmy was the realest guy in the music industry. When everyone started flying private jets and overcharging for tickets, Lemmy stayed the same. Same apartment, same bar, same music. It was never about the money. The guy even told his fans not to buy the record company’s Motorhead box set because of the inflated price. RIP Lemmy.

They opened for Ozzy at ThevAragon ballroom in 81. Only an incredible performance by Ozzy prevented them from getting blown away by MH. What a great concert. Loud doesn't come close to describing it.

Overkill is a blast. Drums, bass and guitar perfects... and the lemmy´s voice.

I am 63 years old. I got deeply into SABBATH when I got Master of reality 71. I knew all about Motorhead. I had seen SABBATH live before 1983 when I saw them again in Dalymont park Dublin. The co headliners were Motorhead. Motorhead second to last. I came away from this experience knowing that I had seen and heard the two greatest heavy rock/ metal bands of all time. Nothing has changed my opinion since

Lemmy was probably the coolest guy in rock! this dude even with all of his millions lived in a small two bedroom apartment, didn't spend his money on fancy cars and clothes or nice restaurants. He went to the same bar every day, popped large amounts of LSD and drunk Jack Daniels right up until his death! He stayed true to himself right until the very end.... legend! 🤘

The song that refuses to end.....

This comment’s probably gonna get buried since this is an old video and all that, but this song has such a strangely unique vibe to it that I don’t really have anything to compare it to, nor can I describe it particularly well, but I’ll do my best. Oftentimes with metal, especially faster stuff like thrash, there’s that urge to kick ass and take names, to drive on forward and see something through the to the end. This feels like the epitome of that “keep going and never stop” mentality. This is the ultimate “finale” song for that. The main character slays the dragon and asks his partner if what they did was worth it, and he simply replies, “Don’t sweat it, get it back to you.”

Just imagine hearing that constant double bass in 79, I would have lost my mind.

Sometime in the late 70’s I was watching tv on a Saturday night and there was a show on featuring various bands (pre-MTV). Being the 70’s, most of the music was radio fare, but then Motörhead came on with a recording of them playing Ace of Spades. I just sat there with my mouth open, thinking “what the hell was THAT!” I knew I had seen something special, and I’ve been a fan ever since, and I’m 55 now! Saw them several times but never got to meet the man. RIP.

Lemmy is metal royalty but dont forget about Fast Eddie. Highly underrated guitar player song writer.

I gotta say that drummer keeping that going the whole song is amazing. What a beast!

When you open the dictionary and look up the word, Rock, Lemmy's face is right there.

No disrespect to those who came after (especially Phil and Mikkey Dee), but for me this is the quintessential Motorhead lineup. Cool AF. RIP Lemmy, Philthy, and Eddie.

This song came about from Phil letting off some steam while the rest of the band were taking a break... they were just coming back into the studio and Phil was doing this double base drum footwork & Lemmy & Clarky said don’t stop keep the beat going... & not long after another Smash hit from Motörhead had been written... Goes to show what real talented musicians can create just off the cuff... Amazing!... This was the best Motörhead line up in my opinion... don’t get me wrong I don’t wish to insult any other musicians who joined the band later on but this trio together were the best of Motörhead ... We thank you eternally...

Your not wrong this was the best Motorhead line up the way the filthy animal Phil Taylor was on the drums and fast Eddie Clarke with those guitar solos and you can never say enough about LEMMY. 3 Amazing musicians RIP

I love Fast Eddie Clark's guitar solos in this song.

This is my first time listening to Motörhead, and I actually really like it

many people will say "stone cold crazy" or "exciter" but for me, this is the first thrash metal song

Those three gentlemen never classed their particular style of music as anything other than sped up Rock n Roll. I miss my hair, miss my teeth, miss my youth, and I miss Philthy Animal, Fast Eddie & Lemmy. Rock in Peace!

Motorhead is the baddest biker band since Steppenwolf.

I think it's worth mentioning that "Fast" Eddie Clarke is tearing it up. What an amazing guitar player. RIP.

Possibly the best heavy rock track ever made.

@@soso-mx8nb go find Everything Louder Than Everyone Else, the double live set from Hamburg with the 'flaming yellow' cover; I would say that after KISS Alive it's the best live album ever made, maybe a toss up :) balls out from start to finish

Classic album, so glad I got to see them live back in '88

The way Eddie Clarke does that guitar slide in the beggining that sounds like an angry wardog is so fuckin raw, you can really feel that punk rock attitude in that one... just can't get enough of it.

This is THE song that precedes them all. In everything. Just the best.
