Oh wow you could get your groceries and do your laundry while you shopped at Kmart and ate lunch at Long John Silver's across the way. Now that is what I call one stop shopping. Great video with cool finds thank you.

I live about 5 mins away from there. I last purchased my house hold items there when me and my GF got our first place together back in 2015 there use to be a Dennys there to in that same lot. That building before the laundry mat was a Payless shoe store

I was looking around the rest of the plaza on GSV and it sure doesn't look good.

This area near 11th street has gone to hell! All down 11th is all bighted with closed and boarded up businesses. The last 10 years have not been kind, the elected officials should be so proud watching their city turn into Gary, Indiana.

That whole building was bought by Walmart a few years before this and Kmart rented the space until it went under. Walmart recently sold the property to one of the box storage places. Walmart was going to tear it down and put up another store then they decided to back out. Such a shame that Rockford only worries about the east side and down town. Everything else is run down

There used to be a Gray's IGA on Auburn Street back in the day which is now a Dollar General and the New Secretary of State Facility Place

Grays Foods is IGA in the Rockford area. Still a Grays IGA at highcrest on Alpine
