Bronxdale was robbery central in the 90's. The 1st section was always the wildest and grimiest. The 3rd section got it poppin' too.

Bronxdale projects I use to hang there. I grew up up the block on croes ave. Use to catch my bus on noble ave. Grew up playing in rosedale park.

WORD!!! I'm from Bronxdale the 3rd section, my building was 1824 my family lived in 1060. I grew up during the 80s and 90s, we used to have wars with Monroe. 1st section was the most thoro section. That walk down Beach ave from St Lawrence station might have got someone hurt. Them Soundview dudes used to get on the BX27....that Bx 27 sheesh!!!!

Lived on 156 and Prospect during my High School years and have a bunch of family in Adams Houses. One thing I can say about the 2 train line in the 90's, there was always a weed spot steps aawy from any 2 train spot. I'm talking actual stores u could walk in and by weed. Example. As soon as u got of Jackson there was a weed spot by the barbershop. As soon as u got off Prospect there was a weed spot by these buildings that are no longer there cuz they collapsed and is now occupied by a Rite Aid. As soon as u got off Intervale there was a weed spot by the liquor store. And So on and So on. NYC was that much of a cess pool that there were actual stores u could walk in and by wood, cops driving by that shit all day like its nothing. Giuliani shut all that shit down tho before he left office.
