We were a sleeping giant n the 80s when I first started watching football

Man, I miss when we played with that hunger. Fergie would instill this philosophy of "You MUST find a way to win, at all costs." It was a very different time. Last season when we went to pieces against Liverpool and it was 7-0, it was unheard of, us playing like that, with that kind of lacklustre apathy. Let's hope we get back on track soon, it's been heartbreaking since Fergie left.

Nani was very underrated

Nani was very inconsistent too, but he'd look world class on the wing compared to Rashford now 😂 Better dribbling, passing and shooting. Better work rate and 2 footed too.

Have you noticed how often Nani was involwed for MU attack? He was almost on every action in so much imprtant games. Brilliant player and so effective in 1v1.

Nani was a great little player, but generally he didn't have an end product. He'd try and tackle too many players and never passed

@@LightingRevenant at the end of Antony's career we'll be watching clip reels of his highlights in exactly the same way as we watch a nani highlight reel now. The two of them are almost exactly the same player right down to the inconsistency

Rooney's goal and celebration always give me goosebumps.

Beratov was an absolute magician. Rooney was an absolute beast. Now we've Rashford and maguire hahaha how the standards have dropped.

My room back in the day in plateau state Nigeria was full of Rooney's photos.....it gives me joy whenever I wakes up in the morning.

Mine too, and underrated season. We were unbeaten for 31 games in the league and made it UCL finals.
