No. The 2007 team is easily the best, followed by 2004. The 2014 group is a bit overrated. Wilfork wasn't good anymore; Browner was up and down; O-Line was average; D-Line was average. People always remember Revis and think that automatically makes the team superior to any other. I mean, Stephon Gilmore has been better for us than Revis was that one year. Make no mistake, I love the 2014 team, too. But during the season, outside of their 7 game winning streak, I never felt they were that distinct from a lot of other Patriots teams. I actually liked the 2016 team more; if they had Gronkowski all year and if Brady hadn't been suspended, that team would've gone 15-1 and been even more dominant.

Jonas Gray was told that this game would be his first career start. Shortly after, his phone alarm didn’t go off and he came late to practice. Bill Belichick punished him by never giving him another chance to play. Gray is an example of “what could’ve been”.

Let anyone one of these "elite superstar" QBs play with Belichick and they wouldn't last the month cause of his coaching style that constantly grinds on you and only mentions your shortcomings and need to improve. Imagine averaging 4.4 ypa for your career and the first real shot you get you go for 200yd and 4td but nobody ever gives you a chance again. But then you got guys who average 3 ypa for their career and stick around for a decade. The league makes no sense sometimes.

Info says that due to a team infraction, Jonas Gray was benched by Belichick for the next game. He would only gain an additional 91 yards rushing the rest of the season. He was inactive for the Super Bowl. What did he do to piss off Bill? He rushed for 201 yards and 4 TDs. How do you bench a player like that.
