The first clip is of a “low altitude takeoff”? Meaning the aircraft was on the ground before it took off! Fortunately this genius script saved me from wasting another minute.

2:18 I tried this exact case III landing in DCS once and I almost got it - with that I mean I only missed the carrier by maybe 100 feet to the right He didn't catch the wire btw so he had to bolter

went to an airshow in Denver once. two thing's I remember. f-104 Starfighter low passes and Bob Hoover's insane flying prowess in his twin shrike.

Say what you want to...but the glider losing power and landing and the bad-weather legacy F/A-18 Hornet landing on the carrier were the most impressive, IMO. Carrier landings are iffy as they are in normal weather - but they're even more iffy when the weather is bad......

you ever see the boeing 707 do a barrel roll over lake washington duing a seafair event?
