MOST SATISFYING BLACKHEAD PLUCKING REMOVAL

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Blackhead plucking can be very effective but trying to prevent sebaceous filaments from developing again is key. Using skincare products like Salicylic Acid can help keep the pores clean and free from dirt, oil and dead skin cells. Retinol, Tretinoin, Retinoids, Peptides and Copper Peptides can help keep the skin first, improve texture and tone and decreasing the size of pores.

    Sebaceous filaments are a natural structural part of your skin. They help guide sebum to the surface of the skin. You'll never be rid of them, but like you said, you can minimize their appearance.

    I did some basic research on this, I am not a medical student nor a medical professional. The information I have obtained came from simple internet searches and made sure the information came from qualified licensed medical professionals including dermatologists. The UNIFIED CONSENSUS is that you CAN NOT shrink your pores, you CAN make your skin healthier and more resistant to pore "clogging" (not a word they used, I am using it as a basic descriptor) but the size of the pore will remain the same. Seems to me that the medical professionals including board certified dermatologists agree that pore size does not shrink with any kind of treatment. Also to the people that say they "cut their pores" using sterilized razorblades to "close them up", your body NEEDS pores to be open and clear to function properly, so what you are doing is a very dangerous mutilation practice that is going to NEGATIVELY affect your health. You don't need to be a doctor to understand that, its pretty basic knowledge.

    The provider is removing keratin clogging the hair follicles, not sebaceous filaments. Whiteheads (closed comedones) are often mistaken for sebaceous filaments but they are not the same thing. Sebaceous filaments normally do not protrude from the skin and are an important part of all sebaceous glands. If I had to guess, this looks like an individual being treated for something like Keratosis Pilaris or follicular hyperkeratosis. Granted, I am not a dermatologist- just a med student who also has issues with Keratosis Pilaris.

    Rubbing alcohol works wonders and is far cheaper. When I was a teen my great aunt saved my face. I had a true pizza face. Even my neck had pimples. She told me to first pop my pimples, then wipe my face with Rubbing alcohol, then wash it with Ivory soap, then rub with a Aloe Vera. It worked wonders on my skin. Within 2 weeks 90% of my pimples were gone and within a couple months they were all gone.

    That’s so damaging to the skin barrier. Men have thicker skin, so I’m not shocked but rubbing alcohol only dries out the skin, and you had pimples which is different. At least witch hazel is tamer & the actual plant helps with acne. I’m glad it all worked for you though.

  • @DimaRakesah

    @DimaRakesah

    If rubbing alcohol is working that means you likely have bacteria or fungus as the root cause. That's why the alcohol works. Unfortunately it's very damaging to the skin, and even if it's fine now this likely won't be your best option long term. Try something like hypochlorous acid. It helps manage bacteria and encourages healing without being drying and damaging the skin barrier. Contrary to popular belief drying the skin out doesn't "cure" acne even if it seems like it's working initially. The skin needs hydration to function and be strong. Drying it out will weaken your skin and potentially make it more susceptible to infections, irritation and other issues that can make acne worse.

    Esthetician here. Pores are connected to glands. Sweat pores are tiny and invisible. The more visible and issue prone pore actually feeds a hair follicle. So when a follicle is producing more oil it is being held open by its contents and will appear larger. Reducing/regulating oil production will make them lie flatter and appear smaller. This is why people with drier skin often appear "poreless". The follicle is shaped like a tube or cone going from smallet deep in the skin to wider on the surface. Exfoliation can remove some layers and also reveal the smaller part. Pores and follicles don't actively constrict like a blood vessel or muscular orifice though. Stay hydrated, exfoliate gently, and use your SPF folks! It's the basis of any good skincare.

    Pore size cannot be changed. There are no muscles that move to change the size of the pores and no ingredient can change the size of pores either. The size of pores is given by genetics, a more moisturized and hydrated skin may make pores look less visible but it size cannot be changed.

    Don’t use anything, wash your face only with water, the more often you use different cleansers, the skin feels unprotected and because of this you get clogged pores and acne. Our skin has evolved over millions of years and our great-grandfathers did not know what soap and skin cleansers were and their skin was clean without clogged pores, don’t listen to any stupid bloggers who advise you to wash your skin until it bleeds, leave your skin alone, don’t touch it , she copes well without you, it is advisable to wash with filtered water, that’s all I wanted to say

    There is no such thing as shrinking pore size. But you can keep them healthy. WEAR SPF EVERY DAY, especially if using actives like the ones she mentioned. Or it'll make your issues worse and create new ones

    Salicylic acid does not remove dirt, you need a surfactant to remove dirt. It also doesn’t inherently remove oil. It works by partially denaturing keratin which allows your dead skin cells to slough off. It essentially breaks down keratin which can act as a road block that gunks up & disturbs skin processes. SA acid softens up the stuff keratin in order to streamline your skins cell turnover process

    Salasilic acid is great. However, you can only make a pore appear smaller. The size of our pores never changes, just cleaning them out makes them appear smaller.
