I'm happy that you are constantly putting more weightage on J-beauty while there are almost no other youtubers who talk much about J-beauty. I think J-beauty is so underrated - if they are more active in marketing internationally like K-beauty or Western brands, it will revolutionalize the skincare industry imo.

Underrated, their brands always be no 1 in other countries drugstore i was suprised everyone always talking about their brands more then other country brand the japanese product always got a positive review internationally become a best one

Totally agree! There are some things that Japan never ceases to amaze me, especially their other Biore variants that try to be creative in the way we cleanse our skin (like the Ouchi de Esthe line and the Morning Gelee) to appeal to the busy Japanese adults who want to get stuff done. I am DESPERATELY been wanting all of these products to instantly come at our country, because I am too obsessed by their inventions, it's just CRAZY 😭😭😭

So so so so UNDERrated! J Beauty is the only reason I even KNOW what K Beauty is. I've been hunting JBeauty ever since discovering Cosme Decorte I started looking for cheaper alternatives realised American skincare had completely different ingredients and products, enter the world of Jbeauty and in finding websites to order found Kbeauty which is super hyped up now, but where is the love for JBeauty?????

Maybe Japanese brands aren't nearly as popular in the west as they are in Asia. As an Indonesian, i see so many Japanese brands at the drugstores. They're much easier to find than Korean brands. Some Korean brands are exclusive. They only sell their products at their own stores, while Japanese products are sold at the drugstores, grocery stores or even at Indomaret (which is very similar to 7-11 in the US). They are also usually much cheaper than Korean brands. Hada Labo, Bioré and Skin Aqua products are everywhere at the drugstores.

@@whitepaper5241 Here in the Philippines, it's almost the same story (we also have plenty of Japanese brands established here) but because of our country's Shopee and Lazada tapping into the Korean skincare market and the skincare-savvy Filipino's unwavering interest for KBbeauty, we have been able to get access to even more Korean brands at a reasonable cost. We got to discover more of these brands online than with JBeauty: One Thing, Loomi, Aromatica, AmorePacific brands, Scinic, Somebymi, and so much more. And because of competition of resellers in the PH, they buy to the bulk so they can get their products to go cheaper to attract the thrifty customer. This somehow overshadowed JBeauty and ended up with KBeauty higher on demand than JBeauty--not that we disliked it, when in fact we wanted more products that were exclusive to Japan released. So yeah, huhuhu.
The mugwort essence is now a repeat purchase for me ever since you recommended it! Thank you Tina!!
Finally bought the skincare products you recommended ☺️ can't wait to try them,so excited!
Looove this! I think for me the best sunscreen ever would still be the Biore UV Perfect Milk & currently I'm also trying the La RochePosay Invisible Fluid one and I absolutely love it too! 🥰✨
omg this video was so sweet and informative!! i think for me it has def been the niacinamide and arbutin serums from the ordinary, as well as the shiseido senka whipped cleanser since my skin is so oily 😭 i wanna try the other variations in the shiseido whipped line too!
Tina, I love the quality and format of your videos as always! Please do a video of products you would recommend with actives please?
Lol I keep staring at your eye makeup, so pretty!🦋
i love your channel! not enough people are talking about Jbeauty so this was really informative
The nivea sunscreen is my fave too::: i love how affordable it is
I can totally relate to your comment "I am getting nervous that I only have this much left" - that ALWAYS happens to me 🙃. Great video/great content!
I love the biore cleansing oil. ❤️ Also I love sk-ii essence. I think I'll repurchase it for as long as I can afford it. Japanese beauty for the win ❤️
Hada Labo Shirojyun & nivea water gel are my staples too since 2016 when I was in Japan. You can’t go wrong with that ❤️
You are such a lovely fun beautiful lady to watch, you also know your products and you explain in a very simple yet fast way the pros and cons of each product. Tks a lot Tina
Your skin is so nice!! So happy I discovered this channel so I can learn more about good Japanese skincare products! I've loved the Biore sunscreens ever since I bought my first one on my trip to Japan back in 2019, and have used like 5 of them since then! I used to be a Shiseido loyalist (my mum got me started with their products when I was a teenager) but unfortunately their products aren't available in Australia anymore :( The I'm From Rice Water toner and Hada Labo seem worth checking out! Also interesting to see that the Rice Water toner has niacinamide in it, which makes sense why it's so effective! I have subscribed ^^
I have repurchased 2 of the products you featured in this video. The senka perfect whip cleanser and the im from rice toner. Looking for a new makeup remover and moisturizer this time. Thank you so much for the recommendations! I have recently started using the biore sunscreen you talked about and I like it soooo much! I have tried different sunscreens in the past like from krave, klairs, purito, althea, belo, etc. But the biore one is the best I have ever used. My holy grail sunscreen probably! 😉 though I'll definitely check out the nivea one you recommended.
Love it!!! Was looking forward to seeing a Moisturiser also.
I have been using the Hada Labo cleansing oil, face wash and lotion for 5 6 years. They’re still my favourite now, so affordable and effective.
Loved the video! My most repurchased item is the Hada Labo UV White Gel for my face. I also use the Nivea Super UV on my body. Fabulous application.
I love the Biore oil make-up remover too. ❤️❤️❤️
My most favourite is Inkey List Oat Cleansing Balm and Krave Beauty Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser - Went through 7 packs of them already and on 8th. The duo is perfect for cleaning my skin. Bioré Aqua Sunscreen is my second favourite, had purchased it 2 times.
My most purchased K or J beauty product is the Dr.G Hydra Intensive Cream. It's intensely moisturizing without feeling oily, sticky, suffocating and keeps the skin hydrated to boot.
The I’m from mugwort cream I love love this cream I have literally 5 unopened ones at home ❤️❤️ I already bought the Biore make up remover really good and I will buy the sunscreen from Nivea from your video Thanks for your recommendations ❤️
I've easily gone through at least 10 tubes of the Biore Watery Essense and several of the Nivea Super Water Gel, love that it has refill packets. I like to switch around my sunscreens based on activity and weather but I always have the Biore one in the mix because it's my favorite! I currently have the Hada Labo Shirojyun Moist Lotion. It's my first time trying it but it's really nice and I've been wanting to try the Shiseido Perfect Whip because I always hear about it, I'm just worried it would be too drying for my dry skin.
I love your vids Tina! Our list of favs is very similar. ❤️
If you like the Mugwort essence, you should try the Missha Time Revolution Artemisia one. It has a double fermentation process or something like that 😅 it’s great, I love it!
My most purchased skin care product are - Benton BHA toner - Purito unscented serum - Purito cleanser - COSRX Cica Cleanser
My go to is definitely "pureheals propolis overnight cream" I'm oily type and my skin eats it up without making me oily
The fact that I've tried everything except the Nivea spf is crazy! I've emptied the hada labo gokujyun twice, rice toner twice, mugwort essence twice and the biore uv spf.....five times hahaha!
My most purchased will be the Heimish All clean Balm. I've been using it for 4 years. I finish around 8-9 tubs per year and that's the only oil based cleanser that i use until today
Lovely video Tina! I have some similar favs ❤️
I loved the Senka perfect whip when I was younger, and also the I'm from rice toner. I prefer cream cleansers now as my skin has gotten more dry. I've bought the Hada labo whitening lotions and the Nameraka sana range tons of times
Your recommendations are the best! I will be trying the mugwort essence and FINALLY trying the hadalabo shirojyun.

Most repurchased for me would be the boire sunscreen, aminon amino moist charge milk (amazing face moisturizer from Japan- I always go back to it), the innisfree green tea eye cream (every time I try a new eye cream my eyes look worse and I go back to it) and the first aid beauty ultra repair cream. I’ve used all of the above for years now, but probably the sunscreen and moist charge milk the longest!!
I keep repurchasing the Im from rice toner, it is just so perfect

Awesome video Tina!
These are all my faves too!
Senka and Hada Labo dry out my skin crazily. Luckily, my skin loves products from Nivea and Biore. Trial and error is important everyone.
I think I've repurchased the skin aqua sunscreens the most! I love the canmake mermaid gel but it's such a tiny tube:( so I run out so fast and then I'm like woops, I'm out of sunscreen!
hi tina! ❤️❤️ would you ever consider reviewing glow recipe ?
i love the kose speedymo cleansing oil! its so cheap and works well (btw i dont wear makeup)
I absolutely looove the Nivea sunscreen. Having tried the Biore one as well, I actually prefer the Nivea because of its lack of fragrance (Biore is so strong! > 3

@ya.02

@@This-isGirl it’s very lightweight and not tacky, no white cast as well! I’m using both the Nivea and Biore sunscreens and while both have alcohol in it, the former has less alcohol smell and fragrance. And it has a refill pack which is sustainable. The only downside is that it only has PA+++ so I mostly use it indoors. But if I have to choose between the 2, Nivea is the one for me. I have combo to oily skin btw.

I love the Hada Labo Shirojyun premium lotion and the biore uv aqua rich watery essence. I don't want to talk about how many times I've repurchased these products... I also just bought the nivea sunscreen, can't wait to try it out

Which one is good biore one or nivea
My most repurchased item has got to be La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water. Lost count of how many large spray bottles I’ve purchased over the years. It just calms, cools and soothe the skin beautifully. Absolutely ❤ it!
@aminaa5824
Жыл бұрын
I’ve only bought it twice and stopped because both times the spray nozzle would spurt and not spray properly after a short time as if it was empty even when it was barely used
Super agree with the nivea sunscreen being better than biore! and it’s definitely cheaper too
My most repurchased skincare product is the very divisive Caudalie Beauty Elixir. People either love it or hate it; I can’t live without it and have repurchased it at least 12 times in the 15 years since I first tried it. My 2nd most repurchased product is Biore UV Aqua Rich Water Gel sunscreen. It works, it feels great on the skin & it’s affordable. What’s not to love?
If I repurchase a skincare product for a third time it's deff holy grail worthy!
I love Hada Labo Shirojin line!! I really like the DHC oil cleanser, but it’s a it over priced. Love Biore Watery UV Essence! Just ordered their Athlizm sunscreen! Can you do a review of Missha Essences?? They have a mugwort essence and their Time Revolution Essence
Mine are the isntree green tea toner and Ordinary's Niacinamide and Laneige cream toner. Skin&Labs Barrierderm cream. Repeats, some have back-ups. 🥰🥰🥰🥰😁 Sunscreens have been re-evaluated this year. Cheers!
My repeats are the Hada Labo Toner, Melano CC essence, Sulwhasoo Vitalizing Mask (I use it as a moisturiser) and Allie sunscreen. I’m dying to try the Nivea one as it seems really similar to my Kose Suncut Aqualy sunscreen which also comes in a pump 😊
@bvrlylava
3 жыл бұрын
I use melano cc as my deodorant and the vitalizing mask as a body lotion ☺️
great video!! is there any difference in the formulation of the old nivea sun gel and the new packaging??
My most purchased items are The Ordinary moisturizer and Vanicream's face moisturizer. I used to be interested in trying the Senka Whip face wash but I researched it and people said it was too drying and the ph of it is too alkaline.
Hada Labo Shirojyun #1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've been using that since 2017. Although I don't go through it as fast because my skin is pretty oily, I can probably use a bottle up to a year
The Japanese and Korean products I just keep on re-purchasing are Shiseido Elixir Supérieur Lifting Emulsion, Senka cleansing foam (although it's somewhat drying due to the alkaline pH), Hanyul Artemisia Cleansing Foam, Ohui Age Recovery Cream, I'm From Honey Mask, I'm From Mugwort essence. I know, the Shiseido Elixir Supérieur product and the Ohui cream are just so pricey but they work so well for really dry, combination skin that I love their textures!

@@quintessential3396 this is 3months late, but if you’re still having the same problem. Go on eBay and buy an ounce of the 90%concentration Glycolic acid, and 80% concentration of Lactic Acid. It sounds scary, but wait ! Making your own acid toner is cheaper and better than buying premise one! . Now buy a cheap toner, like the Thayer’ witch hazel. And Amlactin lotion. , Now, dump out a bit of the toner to make space for the acids. You’d want to combine 3ml+3ml of Glycolic+Lactic acid in the toner. Do NOT use this for face. Shake thoroughly before every use. For daily routine. Exfoliate well in the shower every Other day, pat yourself dry, but not too dry, then Spray the acids toner all over the areas you have ingrown and let it dry, don’t wipe it away (toner can be use everyday for body) The acid will help exfoliate the ingrown hair. When it’s barely moist on your skin, really less than 30seconds, put on the amlactin lotion. Doesn’t have to be too thick, just enough. That’s it. Follow this for a month and it should help.
I have a lot of dermatitis so my personal most repurchased item is cold pressed aloe vera gel. I’m never without it because no matter what else I may use for irritation I always use this too!

Its the Naturie Hatomugi Skin Conditioner for me. I’ve gone through 4 or 5 bottles of those, and the bottles are huge! It really helped with my severely dehydrated skin before, and now, any time my skin is parched, i’ll just reach for it.

Wish I'd bought the nivea spf when I was in Japan in late 2019. Saw it everywhere and didn't realise it wasn't available outside of Japan. Used biore, hada labo lotions and rice toner a couple of times each. Loved rice toner, so soothing and comforting. The Nivea gel and the refill is available on Amazon! I’ve bought the refill 2-3x and just bought a new one last week. I don’t repurchase skincare very often cuz there are so many products out there I want to try, I would say the only ones I’ve repurchased are the Nivea sunscreen and the hado labo gokujun. I do want to repurchase the softlymo oil cleansers tho, all the cleansers I’ve tried from them are so good and affordable!

Would love to know if you have an Australian site to purchase these items. In covid times stylevana etc take too long for delivery here.
I would love to try more japanese beauty products but I try to only support cruelty free brands and from the little research I've done the majority of well known JPN brands aren't cruelty free.

Could you maybe do a video about cruelty free japanese beauty brands.
Have you tried the purito cleansing oil? Do you prefer the muji cleansing oil over that one?
can you tell us what lip product you have on? i am in love
It kind of hurts to accept the fact that I have to say goodbye to most of the products I purchased. These would be three items from Dermalogica, which are Calm Water Gel, Cooling Aqua Jelly (great during summer months), and Clearing Defense SPF30 before going out. Apart from Dermalogica, from La Roche Posay the Effeclar Wash Gel and Avene Cold Cream lip balm. I have used these since I was 13-14 years old and I lost count how many times I purchased them. I never had the need to change or look for something better because they really worked great. Since I turned thirty recently, I changed the products to more age related stuff. I still go with Effeclar Wash Gel but I buy Agesmart series from Dermalogica. Also, L'occitane Make-up Remover Oil worked great for me for years but I get a make up remover from DHC called Deep Cleansing Oil. It is better for older skin imo. I don't do daily make up and when I do, a soft remover is more than enough. It is kind of bittersweet that even though we barely realise it, our needs change. I am loving it but I am also hating it. It is good to age and age healthy, on the other hand I wish I were 23 years old again.
Funny I was gonna purchase that mugwort essence for the exact reason you mentioned! I wanna use it after I shave or wax my face. Which soothing moisturizer do you use after?

Nivea sun super gel, can anyone tell me if it is acnegenic???
I like the texture of the Nivea sun gel. It's empty now and I still don't know if it broke me out or not, be I really liked using it. My only gripe with it is that it's really not sweat/water resistant. A little bit of sweat and it washes off. That does mean you probably don't need an oil cleanser to wash it off
Question. What does the Biore sunscreen smell like nowadays? I remembered it smelling like citrus and recently i bought it again but its thicker in texture and smells like peach. Suspicious. There are so many counterfeits online. Beware guys. 😩😩😩
