I don't think the game is realistic,it is a hell of a game with crazy challenge but let's be real. Most trucks are designed for clean streets,not offroad and even in clean street pulling heavy cargo drivers need to be very carefull with the brakes,how they turn and accelerate. Imagine you are pulling heavy cargo like huge trailers we see here going down with the weight of those things in the back pushing the truck down and all you have is AWD,diff lock and brakes,very complicated. Add snow,deep mud and rivers or ponds with slippy sludge and you will toast the engine of the truck,the brakes might fail and if the truck gets stuck would a steel winch help to take it from it?

This is such a great comment,i think about that myself. Those huge trailers we pull in this game there is no way a truck can do it and i allways think the engine will break. I don't even know what type of vehicle could pull that thing specially in snow or muddy terrain,water that can take heat from brakes and damage it... A nightmare.😅

What it simulates is somewhat realistic, but how it simulates it can definitely leave something to be desired. But for what it does, the variety of trucks, maps, it makes a pretty damn good and fun game. It isn't a simulator and doesn't try to be. I think most people appreciate it for what it is, but I do agree with you for sure

Watched a documentary of Australian truck drivers and one of them had to transport 2 containers (Double-trailer) worth of goods to what was, If I remember correctly, a reservation, sadly one of the trailers was lost in very thick mud and had to be left behind, but the truck managed to make it. Had to make several other deliveries to that reservation and elsewhere, and constantly dealt with trouble, even more so when the truck itself was having issues on its own. Documentary ended up also showing another trucker getting into a flooded road that was quite muddy underneath the waters, engine was sent at full blast and they got free, sadly though the timing belt snapped so the internals took some punishment. But these trucks are pretty hardy from their otherwise “clean-going” profile.

@@EzMackinCheez No offence taken. I just prefer 3rd person view, I like to see "how everything works" from the outside.
