Nice combo First time in my life I see someone casting off the ground with clamps sink First time in my life I see ground Cast without protecting your finger. Ground cast requires just 180°, not 270° ( until you are an expert and want more distance, in wich case your sink must be placed in the water so you gain this brutal 90° extra degrees.....) Perfect ground cast is not easy: do you want to know when you get it? When the joint between the line and the shock leader breacks sound barrier (very easy to notice, very hard to get that level) This is the way the ones unable to catch up pendullum cast think that are at the same level than those who place half a kilo of sink and bait to 100 m from your position

Line type, reel, and weight are the biggest factors for me. Put some machine oil lube in the reel (no wd40 ever, must use machine oil lube specifically), use braided line, and for weight, play it by ear, generally heavier the better, but theres a limit to that.

@mugen5588
9 ай бұрын
Dunno if it's just a UK thing, but try looking for something called a finger stall. If you have a euro style fishing store, you might also find it being called a spod glove. Literally just a (usually leather) single finger glove held on by a strap. Looks goofy as fuck but you can cast with as much force as you like. Didn't see the point till I cut down to the bone just tightening a knot.
@teeanahera8949

Forget gimmicks, just be more careful to put two fingers around the seat stem of the reel and get the line laying over the extreme tip of your index finger. It can’t hurt you as it will simply slide off the last 2mm of your index finger tip.

I do have to make a small correction as a very seasoned surf angler! The load point that you need your lure/sinker varies from rod to rod you need to find the optimal load point on each rod as what dorks on one isn’t guaranteed to work on another rod also what you’re throwing and how much it weights also effects the rods load up point!

There's definitely skill involved in casting a surf rod and some guy's just can't comprehend the concept and those guy's were every single one of my buddies who I fished with...lol..they wouldn't even attempt it if I was there they'd just hand me the rod. I didn't mind and it actually just made me get even better and man I could get it out there!!! I think there biggest fear was that they would either break the line or the rod when they cast out all that weight because they were used to casting either a trout rod or a bass fishing outfit. So it wasn't that they couldn't do it they were just afraid to do it. I need to teach them how to not be afraid to cast and I'm perplexed on how to do that. Its more important to make sure its tight on a conventional reel than spin. To do it though, you can either hold the line with a wash cloth/shirt/glove and wrap it around once, to give it more tension when spooling, or what i do, and just keep alot of tension on the spool your spooling off of.

Large rods are used especially when casting heavier weights.
This guy must have thrown the javelin in his past life! 😂 Man he cast that bait like a long ranged weapon!
Face the land with the bait towards the sea. Underhand swipe forward and when the line is taught, spin 180 and continue the swing back towards the ocean and let go. Much more energy this way carries the line farther.

Line type, reel, and weight are the biggest factors for me. Put some machine oil lube in the reel (no wd40 ever, must use machine oil lube specifically), use braided line, and for weight, play it by ear, generally heavier the better, but theres a limit to that.

@mugen5588
@teeanahera8949

Beautiful power cast!!!! U got in down brother!!!!
You don't put the bait and weight on the ground so the line is making a straight line to your rod. You put them so there is an angle of around 45 degrees, sop you get more compression.

Yes it does. Couldn’t tell you how many times I’ve reeled in to my hook still being attached to my Sputnik. Don’t recommend this.
Yeah, no, not my cup of tea, whatever is at the waters edge isn't worth this much hassle. I'll stick to my lake and bass, one worm and a very gentle flick is all that's needed. There's always someone making shit more complicated than it needs to be. More power to this man for this type of fishing.
Thanks for the video I'll be sure to share.
What kills me is they’re sharing how to get the bait the furthest but in every one of these videos they’re 20ft back from the water🤦♂️

@JacobE-23

Its more important to make sure its tight on a conventional reel than spin. To do it though, you can either hold the line with a wash cloth/shirt/glove and wrap it around once, to give it more tension when spooling, or what i do, and just keep alot of tension on the spool your spooling off of.
