It's actually possible to use 18 staples to lock the cube in permanently! But the last row has to be cut in half and inserted in then taped back together cos there is just no way to jam the entire row in otherwise. But I just find that 18 rows makes a nicer looking cube cos there is no surface that has a "hole". Everything is enclosed and perfectly symmetrical. You can even hide something in the empty space in the middle 😆

I tried same..and found a small magnet from some old toy..after breaking last piece into half..and inserted..then joint it by magnet
