I never take my cell phone when I go out. I don't need it. Hell, I rarely look at it at home. I retired and I want the world to leave me alone. I earned it. It's a great thing.

It is a trap that was set for very young afults who dont even have enough credit to get a cellphone but can finance 40k for college. People acting like they never made a bad financial decision as a teenager... but you cant bankrupt out of this one... Hence the TRAP

My son who is 13 had $900 saved up my wife loaned him like 1250$ I covered the difference and rented a flat bed. Bought him a 67 mustang for 3k, needs work, however he has been out there sanding it, and only owes his mom like 500 bucks . He is a hustler, poured concrete with us yesterday, always working. Time to call around and compare rates. Try State Farm and look around at some more minor players who often can do a better rate than the big boys. Geico had me at much higher rates too, so I switched to State Farm for much lower cost. With three drivers, you also have stacked insurance. Geico had me on stacked insurance for years, and I was the only driver. I never understood what "stacked" meant, and only discovered it years later. Too late.

Some states will allow people to self-insure. You have to prove financial ability to pay if sued. The advantage, if it can be afforded, is that you don't have premiums to pay

It has nothing to do with student debt. It's about getting very expensive votes.

JB, People are not buying new high end vehicles. Trucks are not selling, SUVs are not selling, its flat. This would be a great time for a car company to come out with a "basic transportation" vehicle. Sorta like a 1967 Bronco, or a a early scout, landerover, ect.

It is unbelievable what cars cost now. If something happens to my 11 year old Toyota, I'm going to buy a car that someone is selling. (I hope I don't have to do this as I like my car, however, I can't afford a new car.) I see a lot of older privately owned cars are for sale. I can only assume that the owners can't afford to make the payments or need the money for bills.

My car is an older car, and most cars that I see for sale, by private owners, are the age of my car, or not as old as my car. I always keep cars for a long time. There is no way that I could afford a new car. By the way, I love my Toyota. Thank you for commenting, MoonMan1956.

My Son is a Journeyman Electrician. The Co he works for bid on and got a huge job that will last a couple years. The job started about 4 months ago, the business stopped all money to all the contractors ie plumbing,electric, builders etc. Everyone was sent home. The collapse has started!

As to student loan debt, it took me years to pay mine off and I did it myself through work and living at home. Has the younger generation been burdened by school loan debt? Yes. However, the 20 to 30 year olds have gotten screwed over by the high price of tuitions that I never had. It was reasonable back then. The Biden administration ought to tell colleges and universities to help with this problem. They created it. It should not become a taxation burden for the rest of us. Look at their bloated endowment bank accounts. What about people who did not go on to college? Why should they be asked to pay for others who did? Let's pray for peace. Overusing the phone? They definitely are.

The average person will lose their homes, and the big Wall Street investment firms will buy em. That will happen.
