strong women cooking always. nice mom . have healthy forefer 👍👍👍👌👌👌
Taro is one kind of tree those are makes people fear of it ,just bcz of it’s nature. But the taste of taro is awesome. My grandmother once made one type of curry like taro paste some it was truly fantastic I was surprised to having that curry . Till now I remember that taste. With a perfect process we can cook taro root. Nature gives us many things we just have to know how to use that all with right way. Thanks to Allah.

Taro or yam is a very expensive vegetable. We are a relatively wealthy country so we have lots of Bangladeshi and other nationalities from really poor nations working for us. The Bangladeshi who worked at the supermarket tells me that taro can be found in abundance freely and f.o.c. in Bangladesh. I was of course sceptical since it is so expensive here. After watching this video I am persuaded that what he told me was true. In a wealthy country we don't scavange for food. We don't care to bcs we have money to buy. If we are better managed instead of being riddled with corruption we could be even wealthier. However, this video shows that people should be poor so they would have to live off the road land and learn to appreciate mother earth for sustaining them. This is community scavenging/cooking/eating at its best. Thank you for showing us this. Bravo to the community and God bless your efforts to feed yourselves and your children with what the earth provides f.o.c.
Mulheres guerreiras! Deus!! Abençoe, cada uma de vcs, por esse trabalho lindo, e tão necessário. 😘❤💐🌷💞
Amazing 👏 wow and really thanks for sharing, this is a priceless video, lots of love from Toronto Canada 🇨🇦 💕
Traditionally it's men's' job to bring food and other materials home for the family!! This should have been one of it!! Allah gives these courageous ladies better health and strength helping in family affairs and accompanying their children (which is absent in so many homes) !!! PS: In my country not this giant variety but the dwarf one, some one and half foot long half foot in diameter. Cleaned, peeled and cut into small lumps. Then broiled in salted water to be eaten with chilli paste. Never seen cooked in 'massala' or other spices. How nice to find this village ceremony !!!
I'm from Malaysia,,in my village so many this food but no know it can be eat,,, thanks for sharing this video

These plants are ornamental in American flower beds. Our neighbors had some that crept into our blueberry house. I gave some to my daughter, but next time, I'm going to eat some. I also found a giant root at WalMart. I'm going to raise it to eat, too.

Greetings from Malaysia. I love the village gotong royong (community working together, we call it 'gotong royong' in Malaysia) in this video where villagers (men, women & kids) join hands in the outdoors to cook meal for the community using local food plants. We used to have gotong royong in Malaysia in 1970s and earlier but the custom is now extinct in Malaysia. I wish I were here to join hand in the gotong royong..
Why they have not eating a large green & beautiful leaves ? & What's it's name ? Like a picnic group food & it's great enjoy they are & it's a soooooo natural teste , healthy & natural resources !
Very good, cleaned, Teamwork, hard working mothers.!
One of the most delicate ingredient to handle" taro stems" when it is handled improperly it can irritate your skin. Cook it improperly it can irritate your throat but when prepared properly the taste is delicious specially with coconut milk.
