Miiverse was a "you had to be there" type thing thanks to all the clueless kids on there. I think Juxtaposition (the Pretendo Miiverse replacement) probably won't give us moments like these as a result.

Because A) back in the day, people could comment under any community (like smash bros) even if they didn’t own the game, but this changed when smash 4 released so the trolls moved to New Supe Luigi. Finally, B) the community (NSLU) was mostly dead by the time that the invasion, so it was full of trolls, S-posters, and it was also hacked numerous times to have the background changed. sooo yeah

The timeline went from Nintendo Land being used as the default off topic community, then the Smash Bros community opened up after Smash 4's announcement and they migrated there because it was always front and center when opening Miiverse without a game running. Smaller communities formed in places like youtube that had a different vibe and culture to the Smash community. The general smash community was turned into the Smash 4 specific community when it came out and became flooded with casual users posting from the game so the existing smash community migrating to other communities. Wii Fit U was the original choice of migration but after an overhaul of Miiverse's design made it so every time you logged in you had to manually unhide posts from people who don't own the game which heavily disrupted the community especially as communities were region locked between games. A handful of sub communities kept the original Miiverse layout such as Luigi U and thats were they settled until the shutdown

That just makes the switch feel soulless, it doesn't have the same charm like the wii u and 3ds had sense those system had an online social media platform, 3ds had customizable themes and streetpass, wii u throws Confetti at the wara wara plaza when it's someone's birthday, and it had music on the home menu, and the eshop. Switch doesn't even have any of those which renders the switch as a soulless console. Not that I hate the switch, but it just doesn't have the same charm like the wii u and 3ds had.
