1. The temple is more than 1km away from the sea, so you hardly hear any sea sound. Moreover, there are thousands of devotees present every day, so it is almost impossible to hear the sea. 2. The flag flies in the direction of wind, even in the picture you have shown, it is aligned with the flags situated downside. 3. The chakra looks different from different angles. 4. There are charges for the Prshad you receive, so the prashad is made available assuming the number of devotees which creates less wastage. 5. Birds do fly over the temple and the temple do cast a shadow. Why I made those points because I myself have visited the temple. The temple is so holy and unique in its own way. What I am trying to say is we do not need any miracle or magic to believe in this place rather we should visit to feel the extreme divinity and greatness of the temple. Jay Jagannath.

Writing this comment from Puri , I am blessed to be a part of RATH YATRA...and RETURN RATH YATRA....able to pull the rath somehow..... And saw lord of universe.... My tears came out automatically from my eyes....MY heart was beating tremendously as I witnessed the RATH YATRA b/w millions of people .And then went inside the mandir. It was really really great experience of life time...

Still remember every sec of my visit to Puri during Rathyatra in 2008. Whenever the atheist inside me peaks out the memory of that trip brings me pure happiness and a feeling of connection between the God of the Universe and a 9 year old kid. ❤ Puri ❤ Jagannath

@@marcuss_lane1072 There are several legends associated with the Jagannath Temple in Puri, and one of them involves the invitation of Lord Brahma for the inauguration of the temple. According to folklore, it is said that king Indradyumna, went to Lord Brahma's abode, known as Brahma Loka, to invite him for temple inauguration. Time in Brahma Loka is believed to pass differently than in the earthly realm (Bhulok). While a moment on Earth may correspond to a significant period in Brahma Loka, the details of the time differential and its impact on the inauguration of the Jagannath Temple vary in different versions of the legend. In one version, it is said that when king Indradyumna went to invite Lord Brahma, a moment passed in Brahma Loka equated to several years in the mortal world. Hence, by the time Lord Brahma arrived for the inauguration, several years had already elapsed. This delay caused the temple to be incomplete, lacking a roof. The deities were subsequently installed without a roof, and the temple became known as the Anavasara Pindi. Regarding the role of Chaturbhuja Kaka (the four armed crow), he is associated with the discovery of the submerged Jagannath Temple. According to the legend, when the temple was submerged under sand due to the time variations between Bhulok and Brahma Loka, Chaturbhuja Kaka was entrusted with the task of finding and excavating the temple. He is said to have guided King Indradyumna, the ruler of the region, to the location where the temple was buried. With the help of divine intervention, the temple was unearthed and restored to its former glory. ///// Another legend says that A king Madhav whose horse got stumbled with Nila Chakra of Temple as Indradyumna went for Lord Brahma and years passed by and the temple got submerged in the sand. King Madhav excavated the whole temple and later claimed the temple upon arrival of King Indradyumna. the spiritual Chaturbhuja kaka witnessed the whole process and explained it to Madhav but he was in state of denials so his name became Gala Madhav (who deny the truth even if provided with proofs) these legends and stories have been passed down through generations and have different variations. They are an integral part of the cultural and religious beliefs associated with the Jagannath Temple and contribute to its significance as a sacred site.

I recently rode my bike to Puri from Kolkata with my fellow riders who were also devotees. After we reached the temple there we saw a line of about 3 hours, but then a miracle happened, we suddenly found a gap that directly led to the place where we wash our feet right before the gate. It was a construction site where pavements were being made outside the temple. It's hard to put in a comment but the way the whole ordeal went from there was nothing short of a miracle. We got full view of the Deities and could worship them to our fullest ❤ Jai Jagannath ❤❤❤

At 1:18 the image used of the temple complex is actually from Emami Jagannath Temple in Balasore City. And Puri is almost 250 kms away from Balasore. I was actually born in Balasore and had been living there for more than 20 years. So , I know both of these beautiful Temple Complexes. JAY JAGANNATH !

The deity of lord Jagannath is the greatest of the deities worshipped in the entire world. Jai Jagannath.🙏❤

I visited Shri Jagannath Puri Dham in December 2022 with my family. The temple premises were divine and darshan of lord was mesmerising. The architecture of main temple was one of a kind. But But But… the temple management is doing nothing to maintain the beauty of this dham. There was garbage everywhere. Floors were dirty. I am pretty sure I saw a huge mountain of used pattals (food plates made out of dry leaves) on one side of main temple wall. People were spitting here and there without any remorse. Pandas had no decency towards the devotees. Money minting was their only task. The were openly shouting on people to put more money in the hundis. If they focus on cleanliness, this dham can become so much more beautiful and attractive. I have been to Thirupati. The management there is of top notch quality and how they maintain cleanliness (not only temple premises but whole Thirumala hills) is something other temple managements should learn about.

The trees that is used to make the "murthi or daru" is also special. It is said that the exact location of the trees is visualised in the dream of the main pujari. The tree doesn't have any nest or any animal living on it. It is usually guarded by a snake.

You Could Have Added the Stpry of Salbega ( He was a Muslim Devotee of Jagganath) when he was Sick and Injured and was not expected to survive his Mom prayed to Jagganath and he was Cured. He wanted to Thank Jagganath but since Non Dharmic religions (Christianity,Islam Judaism,Zoarastrians) are not allowed into the temple and since he was a Muslim he was Asked to wait for Rath Yatra before Rath yatra he Went to Vrindavan and due to some reason couldn't make it to puri on day of Rath Yatra. On the Rath Yatra Day Chariot of Lord Jagganath Stopped at the place ( I'm not sure if it was in front of his house or not but that place is Now his Tomb/ temple/Mazaar ) and didn't move. At night in dream of Head priest Lord Jagganath said that the Chariot would only move when Salbega would see him on chariot . Next day Salbega Returned Visited Lord Jagganath on Chariot and then Chariot started moving. Till this date Lord Jagganaths chariot stop in front of Salbegas Temple/ Mazaar for 10 minutes and then moves.

Great Video ❤ .. Jai Jagannath 🙏🏻. Bt a small correction on facts I.e, 'Mausi Maa Temple' and 'Gundicha Temple' are two different temples. The Mausi Maa temple is situated at the mid-way of the Bada danda (Grand road) of Puri dham. It is a small temple dedicated to Goddess Ardhashini who is aunt(mausi) of Lord Jagannath and his siblings and Gundicha Temple is named on queen Gundicha, wife of king Indradyumna(who built Jagannath Temple). During Bahuda Yatra ( while returning from Gundicha temple) Lord Jagannnath , Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra halt in midway at Mausi Maa Temple to eat PODA PITHA( An Odia Cake). Generally devotes from other states and countries confuse both the temples to be same.
