Torana's haven't been made for near 50 years. The last Torana made looked nothing like the first Torana ever made, and that was only around a decade difference. Of course it won't look like the last Torana, all cars have moved on.

It’s a concept car and a modern take on the Torana. Though I don’t think it’s true as there is one for Kingswood as well. Someone is teasing or they are testing the waters. Quite frankly I would be so glad if it was true as long as they were not made in China or Korea. I think Hyundai and Kia are crap. I probably won’t update my commodore if nothing decent comes on the market. I looked everywhere for any reports of Holden putting cars back on the market and I can’t find anything.

If there was a "remake" it would need a lot less "plastic" and a bunch more "cool" to carry the Torry name!

Holden did have that Torana TT36 concept in 2012. Looks like a done-up 2012 Cruze.

Let's hope that they leave it as a concept and let the millennial GM executives think up their own ideas instead of rebranding junk with iconic names

I used to have a genuine A9X Torana in the early 80's, awesome car back then. Rust started to eat it but before I could start the repairs, it was stolen and written off. For me, if this was RHD with a sweet little V8, then it would be almost as awesome.

I have 1976 holden Torana sLR

Don't get me started. Broke my heart when the Ford and Holden manufacturing plants closed down in Australia. Been going downhill ever since. As soon as a Country stops producing things, they go backwards. Would have been nice to produce our own vehicles and put a heavy restriction on all imports. Our economy would thrive. Who cares if it's cheaper to import vehicles. Another thing too, cannot see why we couldn't have produced our own electric or hybrid vehicles. Yes, I still drive a Ford to this day, 100% Australian manufactured.

Same shit they said about the Capri, only thing that changed was Holden Torana Concept instead of Ford Capri Concept, same engine 4 cyl turbo or a v6 turbo and same starting price as the 2026 Falcon $35K or $55K for the performance package. Only thing is the LX Hatchback Torana is making a comeback but not Holden badged, it's being built using the original stampings and moulds etc as the 1976 to 1978 Hatchback, never mentioned what engine, trans or diff but it looked exactly like the real thing going by the plans for assembly, only thing that I'm worried about is that it might hurt the surviving Hatchbacks and they may lose value as the person who wants to bring them back doesn't care who owns an original Holden and he plans on making around a 1000 hatchbacks a year, if he did new panels, floors, rails and skirts, hatch etc will certainly help those building their dream cars with parts that will fit being pressed from original machinery that Holden used when they were producing the LH to UC sedans and LX UC hatchbacks, I know finding parts for my LX Hatchback has taken a while and still need a few things before I start on the rebuild as having everything there when assembling make life so much easier than waiting on a few item before it hits the road and the parts I'm finding hard to find are the B pillar vent covers and wiring loom but I have an LH loom that I'll modify to become LX loom and if this guy does all types of spares it would be good but he'd be over priced like the wankers on evay.
