@@rorobobo8401 Yes you can - but what be the raction for your training? You try to spar with the less leathal point with more speed as the other points in a very dynamic situation. It is nearly immpossible especially für beginners to intermediates. It is even difficult in a type of kickboxsparring to do like 30 percent of force for beginners...because the is so much movement and you do not really know how your strike feels for your opponent. The most tricky thing is to practice wrist locks or locks in general because a slight variation in angle can change everything.

Either break the tackle/conflict/disarm the weapon/run GTF out of there/or there’s instinctual striking, utilizing the weapon they have against them. It happens so fast in a real life situation. And if you’ve been there in a real self defense case where you’re not proud of the outcome. Well.. you reacted so the assailant was no longer a threat. California is horrible with self defense cases Other states be like.. “reaction validated, we can spare a few parking spots” 😂 But fully agree with you sir. This is a demonstration. After the first year of training in Krav Maga, your instructors are literally trying to kill you, and if you fail to defend yourself, you're dead or crippled. Real Krav Maga, on a life and death situation is blinding fast, effecient, brutal and effective. The entire focus of Krav Maga is on ending the fight as soon as possible, by any means available. Put any Krav practitioner with more than 3 years experience into a real scenario where lethal is thole only option, they'll dominate over any other martial art.

I have belts in multiple disciplines. Stayed a green belt practitioner in Krav, and finally got my blue. Had to move to different country for work. BJJ (Brasilian Jiu Jitsu) guys, would say, oh you just know cop defense moves. Um… no. we visited BJJ dojos, studied with Judokas, Muy Thai, and kickboxing. I grew up with a Sambo, military combat, Silat background, from my heritage, and neighbors. My ability to disarm a weapon and utilizing weight displacement is a natural reflex. I can escape BJJ practitioners, up to a purple belt 7/10 times. When rolling. MUCH Respect to BJJ practitioners. For letting go when I tapped. Because adding their art with my Sambo really pushed me to be better. Though getting ragdolled by upper level BJJ practitioners was hilariously fun. All love because BJJ practitioners are dangerous. We did the work together. I was able to offer good striking for others to pick up on. As I now continue multiple disciplines. Dedication to BJJ with striking I feel is the strongest/most dangerous. BUT, the point is, if in a confrontation, GTFO. Nothing to prove. If you can’t run. Give them a nap through grappling. Weapon present? Disarm them, and nap time. Simple. But be carful with striking to the temple! And no windpipe. Carotids only. And be careful with those. Moral of the story. Run away. Break away. Maintain compassion for others. And be humble. Conflict f**ks up my Chi, and creativity. So I will walk away as the assailants call me a wimp. As not knowing that any “wimp” in my camp can really change your life, ligaments, and consciousness. Stay peaceful everyone. Martial arts is to take the fight out of you. Bring peace, resolution, compassion, humility and humbleness. But in dire situations, act ACCORDINGLY and professionally within the moment. Hate to sound cliche. But as much violence that I grew up with in my hometown city, we all truly need to get along. And ascend to the next level of consciousness.

Thus, I would rather do silat and kali with a blade coming at me than empty handed especially when you are in a bar/dance club and faced toe-to-toe with someone holding a jagged long stem glass ready to open you up then you know your good been there, when you have someone reaching for their knife ready to open you up and you shut them down, then you are good to talk. Put your training in silat-kali different mindset at the end of the training. The goal is to get home safe from pressure resistent training with intent. This is commercial KM and not military KM. I wouldn't be surprised if none of these guy's experienced real intent.
