    @@Crutypus both sides committed minor infractions as always in free play but it gets tiresome when the ref blows for every fault and spoils the fun.

    @@berniecosmos5167 yea I agree, there's always minor infractions but the Hosea Gear not releasing is blatant and very much affects the game. There's a difference between a minor infraction and outright cheating

    I was thinking the same thing, it gets really frustrating when the referee is blowing the whistle all the time, especially as they are so inconsistent. No elements of obvious dangerous play, let them get on with it. Although that being said, man can the Kiwi players cheat like hell

    Ben Smith you absolute beauty. Perfect placement on defence in the backfield to regather the ball, great communication to get the pass to stick. He had pace, a nice step, astute running lines, vision and more that's not showcased in this video. He had everything.

    He wasn't on both knees and he was still in movement, if he stopped moving during the tackle then get up it would be a fault.

    Agreeing with Alexis in that technically the tackle was not complete, so he did not have to release the ball. A tackle is complete when the ball carrier is brought to the ground; this is judged by the knees touching the ground while being held by the opposition.

    He wasn't. Just because the referee missed it, doesn't mean it was right. Tackle was clearly complete.

    Pure class all over that field. Messam, Nanai-Williams, Smith, Nonu, Gear, Woodcock, Thorne... The list goes on! As a Springbok supporter, this era of NZ rugby was amazing, 2011 through 2015! ABs were unbeatable! If this game happened today, there would have been 13 red cards in that passage of play! ha ha! Wish the officiating would go back to a little more like this.

    Good game but the referee should penalize blue player at 2:29. Clearly tackled, not releasing the ball before stand-up.

    Na, he was going down to 1 knee but it was split second. I think most refs would have let that one go.

    Quand le jeu est lent, les joueurs ne ratent pas leurs placages. Mais quand ça va vite comme cela, les joueurs tirent la langue, n'ont plus de souffle et il y a des espaces partout. Dur de plaquer des gars dans ces conditions là.

    Pet peeve of mine. In a game so close you would absolutely want to be moving it towards the posts. Could have gotten 5-10m closer before the cover came over if he didn't stroll it in.

    I remember a schools match with a passage like this! The kids didn't make as many mistakes as these guys, and their defenses actually functioned, and there wasn't a blatant foul in the middle, but still, exciting stuff for sure!! Those of you who love this clip, you should watch Sevens-it's full of this kind of play.

    En même temps,c la même chose que l'équipe de France il y a 10 ans, même sens, extérieur, stérile,si aucune faute adversaire,pas de variation avec point de fixation au centre pour resserrer ligne extérieur,c 3 minute de jeux ou les joueurs finissent chaos et le reste du match????     Mate, referees are not supposed to allow the game to flow, referees are supposed to apply the laws. Wayne Barnes allowed the game to flow by not blowing his whistle for a forward pass..... see what I did there?

    That's how rugby should be played! Not a shity crossfeild kick in sight. Players have either lost the ability to think on their feet have the guts to run the with the ball or lack skill today. Games gone to boring

    Is it me or are the players back then, especially the All Blacks like Nonu, Ben Smith etc were way better then the current lot? Or has rugby changed so much that it's all about milking penalties so the game is messy now.
