Q6 Do we really need to calculate the sum? Class A & Class B ratio of boys are 40% and 37.5%,,option A 33.33% is eliminated as no combination of these classes can have the ratio out of the range (37.5,40) Also B and D can be ruled out as these are limiting cases when ratio of class A and B tends to infinity, Only practical solution left is C Is it ok ?

22:36 For this ques, you can simply do weighted average - (40%*2/3) + (37.5*1/3) = 39.17% Reason: Note that % of boys in class A (40%) > % of boys in class B (37.5%). So % of boys in combined class will increase with the increase in ratio of Class A students : Class B students (i.e. higher the % of class A students in the combined class, higher will the % of boys in the combined class). Proof: Case 1 - Class A students : Class B students = 2:1. So, weighted average of boys in the combined class = (40%*2/3) + (37.5*1/3) = 39.17%. Case 2 - Class A students : Class B students = 3:1. So, weighted average of boys in the combined class = (40%*3/4) + (37.5*1/4) = 39.38%. Case 3 - Class A students : Class B students = 5:1. So, weighted average of boys in the combined class = (40%*5/6) + (37.5*1/6) = 39.58%. Conclusion - So we can see that, overall % of boys in combined class increases with the increase in the proportion (Class A students : Class B students) and minimum is therefore 39.17%.

Q1 No need to go for calculations, As in second case contribution of A is 1/3, so contribution of B should be 2/3 in t time, now as B finish 1/3 work in 10 minutes so it will take 20 minutes to finish 2/3 work so t=20. Is it OK?
