@@SlimmerJarl your probably right there now that I reviewed the footage. Originally I didn’t think it was cut given how smooth the lava and fire textures flowed together, which I can imagine is difficult to pull of perfectly. But when looking at the footage in slow motion right before he hit the lava, you can see the “changed own gamemode to survival mode” message already fading away. It does look like he spliced the footage. I retract my original comment

I like how they cheated in their speedruns but still loses it.

17 seconds in the video, the point of the video allready starts. Thats what i like. No asking for subs, likes, no "only 1% of viewers are subscribed" or anything like that. Just straight cutting to the chase. Love people like this

I am just imagining what the Speedrunner Moderators are feeling having to review these submissions. Or any normal and sane person for that matter.

I’ve always had this idea of making my own fake minecraft speed run but I’m kind of too lazy to do it. Here’s what I would’ve done though I spawn in (conveniently near a village) and I run to the blacksmith to find a a few iron, 1 obsidian, 3 diamonds and a few random things. I then make a bucket and run off in a “random” direction until I find a lava pool that just so happens to only have 9 source blocks of lava. I do the trick everyone does with the water and lava but come to find that I’m one obsidian short. But instead of using the obsidian I had found earlier. I make a diamond pick with the diamonds I found and I’d find a cave that goes down to lava. Mine 9 more obsidian so that I have just enough for a portal. I then run BACK to the old portal I was working on and build a complete NEW portal right next to it, when I could’ve used my 10 obsidian down in the cave. Then before I enter the portal, I throw my diamond pick through it and then go in after it. When I get into the nether, the pick I threw has been enchanted with silk touch for some odd reason. I get “lucky” and find a fortress nearby, and when I find the blaze spawner, I mine it right away. I check my inventory to see if I have the spawner (which I obviously don’t) I then open chat and type “I have silk touch tho???” And proceed to jump in lava. When I respawn I’m met with a chest labelled “lost and found” with all the items I had, nothing less nothing more. Then I run off in a different direction and suddenly I stop for a second and open chat again to type “my controller is about to die” instead of plugging it in, I keep playing. And very lucky for me, when I’m swimming in the ocean, “my controller dies” and my character slowly sinks down to the ocean floor where there is a few signs blocking the water from flowing into a hole that “generated” there. That hole happened to lead to a fully completed end portal. I go through it, I hit the dragon with my silk touch pick and am suddenly given the dragon head item, and I beat the game.

The random loot clip makes me now wanna see someone speedrun with one of the random loot table mods.. would at least be kinda entertaining maybe? Or at least random mob drops since then the blocks can stay consistent and stuff like crafting tables aren't insane Got any clips of like a kid using the "bonus chest" you can spawn when you start a world?
