Your fragrant garden is beautiful. I have a collection of trilliums in my woodland garden. I also bought what was supposed to be trillium luteum and it bloomed with a burgundy-red flower. I would have been disappointed but it actually has an intense fruity/citrusy fragrance. None of my other trillium cuneatums have a strong fragrance. For this reason the mislabeled trillium has become my favorite one. I have recently planted so osmanthus fragrans in my garden. They were in bloom when i bought them and they have a sweet peach/apricot fragrance. I love your clematis armandii. I used to have one but it died during a particularly harsh winter. now i am inspired to get another one and try again. Great video.

Thanks for the very nice comment, yes I am lucky I live in USDA 8 where Clematis armandii can overwinter outdoors... Very nice stor about the Trillim, I hope when the flower opens, it will be fragrant too!!! I was a bit disappointed as I know the luteum is quite fragrant, but very pleased that yours is also very nicely fragrant even if with a burgundy flower... hope mine will be too, when the bud opens up

Thanks for the very nice comment!!! I wish I still had the species you mentioned, I love especially Jasminum azoricum but also grandiflorum and auriculatim, but unfortunately I found these species are impossible to grow where I live in the UK (USDA 8), because often we have quite often winters when temperature drops below zero for a few days, and also, my garden is mostly clay, that is not ideal anyway for azoricum and grandiflorum, that in addition to mild temperature, require very well drained soil. I tried to grow auriculatum and grandiflorum indoors, but unfortunately the problem here is that they seem not to have sufficient light, and they died, I will try next time with grow light. The most fragrant of my jasmines in the garden is Jasminum polyanthum, and unfortunately even in this species all the aerial parts of the plants including obviosuly the flower buds die down in very cold winters, and the plant sprouts again from the ground in spring. The only reliable blooming jasmines in my garden are Jasminum officinale, that is nicely fragrant even if not very strong, Jasminum x stephanense, also very nicely fragrant, and Jasminum beesianum, that is the only Jasmine I really regret to have planted, because it is not fragrant at all and is also terribly invasive (even if I have to admit its small red flowers are very cute)!!!

@@plantreviewsuk1204 yeah jasminum auriculatum and grandiflorum dont grow well in shady areas, if plant is matured like 1-3 years, then they can adapt in your enviourment,

@@mdlabib2964 yes, a few years ago I bought grandiflorum and indeed made a video of it, and I kept it in my greenhouse, but unfortunately during winter it was damaged by both rodents and cold weather (it was still a pretty small plant), I hoped that it would recover in spring, but unfortunately it didn't and I lost it!!!

@@mdlabib2964 unfortunately I don't think that they can survive winter temperature down to minus 7 degrees Celsius below zero, as we have in central Kent (South East England) every couple of winters!!!

I am waiting for some seeds that I bought online from African tabernaemontana, for the second time because none of them germinated. I also failed with Osmanthus fragans, with Michelia alba, with Luculia gratissima and with Artabotrys hexapetalus. None of them germinated and it causes me a lot of frustration. If you have experiences with those species, please give me advice. @@rickylanzamape6353 hello, unfortunately the viability of the seeds of some species is very low and some sellers sell very old seeds. It is best to buy seeds from people cultivating the species themselves, because they sell fresh seeds. I don't have specific experience with the species you are trying to germinate, but I know that actually in the canary island there is a shop called Canarius that sell a variety of rare tropical plants. Another great way to get seeds form species you like, is to Instagram them and when you find the photos of the species you are looking for, contact who post them, hopefully they have seeds to sell
