Agreed. That's television for you. I'm sure the same goes for shows like Big Brother as well. It's all in the name of entertainment... Like the AGT episode where Howie was "hypnotized" and went around shaking hands with people even though he is a germaphobe. I'm sure he just got through it and washed up afterwards, for the sake of entertainment.

@@dr.syedinayatullah9125 because even picking the top or bottom card you would most likely still pick the same card as it is most likely a roughed deck which would allow for any position to be picked and makes it easier without having to force any particular card or any position as you know that there will aways be someone that will try to outsmart the magician by picking the very top or bottom so it's best to allow force. I would only say that the cards are roughed by the fact when showing the face of the cards you can see some of the middle cards which is not the selected card.

Actually the first one is most likely a flat screen TV table worth a vanta black background.

The self-writing blackboard costs 3500 bucks. If someone is rich enough (or has rich enough parents, since we're talking about a kid) to afford that and other expensive props, not to mention pay their assistants as well, then why should they need to go on talent shows at all? That's the only question that remains unanswered 🤔

Having a hard time grasping the coin trick explanation. If these were controlled by rods turning, it seems you’d be able to see that happening in slow motion. I slowed it down to .25 speed and still can’t see anything. Those rods would have to turn extremely fast.

I already knew about the digital chaulkboards which can add lettering digitally from using an assistant and a remote computer, which the board that looks like chaulk written in the first trick. The chaulk is just a special font applied on a matt finish digital board screen. From the audience far away, its looks like chaulk but not in close.

How certain are you about the coin trick? I don’t it is possible for the coins to flip as we would see it in slow motion. I also don’t think it is very sophisticated - why wouldn’t they have black covers slide back and forth over the coins. The principal is the same, but instead of turning it is covering and uncovering.

The first trick suffered from the “too perfect” problem. He should have covered each item fully and for longer so there’s more mystery. Too obvious it was some gimmick.

down>flip>up. if the flip in occured in its precise original location, due to the exact tolerences. object it would jam or grind or ruffle/spoil (bright lights and velvet) it's hosting holes velvet surround.and as you stated, affect the covering card. slightly lower but linearly rotate object by a cpl millimeter in a box which is fully lined hi res printed photo of the tabletops black velvet under bright light. then it just a matter of up.. if the down action used velvet 'overhang' to cover the effect, the up action would push up the velvet over hang also, which would make the edges of each hole have a mini 'hump' around their perimeter. This is pure, extremely tight tolerences. also black hides everything in magic. would not work with yellow.
