Most Expensive Premier League Transfers Adjusted To Inflation - GiveMeSport

Спорт

Transfer fees in the Premier League have skyrocketed with each passing decade. However, the current record-breaking signings, such as Jack Grealish and Declan Rice, would not make the top 20 most expensive transfers when adjusted for inflation. Players like Raheem Sterling and Michael Carrick, who were signed for relatively low fees by today's standards, were still worth eye-opening sums of money when they completed their respective moves.

this is completely wrong, your numbers are totally off, for example 26 million in 2005 is now 44 million

I'm pretty certain its based on football transfer fee inflation data. Not Consumer price index CPI inflation which affects the price of everyday items.

@@pbutokyeah I thought the same. The guys above need to think of how much a player like Declan rice, Grealish etc would have cost back in 2005. Using the logic of the original comment, a player like Cole Palmer would have been worth 26million (not accurate) in 2005.
