A lot of idols don’t accept fan gifts anymore because they say they’d rather have them spend their money on themselves than on them. But it could also be safety precautions because you never know what it is 🤷🏽‍♀️

What they forgot to say is that EXO members Sehun and Lay received whales by one to each of them for their birthdays. From what I know chinese fans are very loyal even to BTS or EXO. About EXO Sehun I know that he refused to receive gifts because he said that there are people in need so fans can help other people who really need money or help. Sehun volunteers often for orphanages and donates a lot of money for children with illness, you can check that that's why I like him so much he is very nice person, some EXO fans even donated blood in EXO name did you know that? I've never seen something more emotional. Suho also donated a lot of money for kids with illness. I mean these boys are great. I remember that BTS helped kids too. They're not only kpop idols but they do things which other artists don't do and there are many artists in this world which have money. Sehun once was on Jeju island and worked for a restaurant, cleaned the dishes all day long to make money for kids and also picked oranges he carried multiple boxes with oranges I don't know how many but a lot maybe 100 it doesn't matter what he did impressed me because he could just transfer money but he wanted to do that on his own. Kpop idols in general are great when it comes to charity, but EXO really impressed me to be honest, I've never heared fans to donate blood in the name of some boy band really. Lay's fans buil a road for children to travel safe to school. There are many things to say about them, but this is what I know and I really think they're good example!

There's actually one time that a "fan" put in glue to a drink that they gave to their idol.... Since then the managers have to keep caution when their idol received food/beverages for gifts

Back in their early days, BTS survived on a lot of things fans sent them like basic necessitates along the lines of dishes, blankets, clothing when they were too poor to afford a lot. Fans have seen various clips throughout the years with the boys still using the items that were given to them. I THINK in the YT segment with Jin playing the piano in his room, someone said that the bedding set that was visible was a fan gift and it's really touching because they have money now but still cherish these simple things. They don't accept gifts either because you can only do so much with 100 plushies given at fan meetings, or having an excessive amount of expensive electronics sent, etc. They much prefer that they use that hard earned money for themselves or for a charity which is a great cause on its own.

Some companies do not allow fans to send gifts for idol safety and because sometimes fans get very competitive with gifts for examples BTS they said they did not want to receive more gifts so what fans do for their birthdays is that they all gather a quantity so that idols appear on a screen in the city or some fans also what they do is donate money on behalf of the idol

It doesn’t include, Jungkook’s fan site giving him a $12,500 Rolex mariner watch. Jungkook has the got the most birthday ad in the subway stations. Jimin had a whole city light up in his name. I think approximately 30 tall buildings. Times Square and different billboard ads are a basic whenever special occasions happen regarding BTS. On JIMIN’s birthday, the boarding pass was Jimin themed. V had the highest ads and event for any kpop idol on his birthday. 💜 Although the members don’t accept any gifts from their fans now 💜
