It’s ironic that both times he was eliminated from the show it was on a challenge where he has to replicate someone else’s dish because he is a true artist. When allowed to dream and create, no one can compete with Reynold.

Dude if you are a chef working at a resto or hotel, you are simply a staff, no matter how good you are, you are just a staff. The one who does the menu is the executive chef, be it in a cuisine department or the entire kitchen area. Its either the executive chef does the new dish pitch OR they let their chef staffs under them do it in a form of challenge

I don't understand why at the masterchef show in the semi-finals should duplicate another chef's dish, my opinion, at the semi-finals, all the contestants must present their own dishes, you become masterchef not because you duplicate others' dishes, but you create your own dishes to be a masterpiece

@@robbifidelino4654 No, I'm not a chef, this is just my opinion of the masterchef, isn't it for the purpose of this show to give birth to a new chef who has the ability to create a new dish with their skills and not be a great masterchef at copying another chef's dish? My point in this comment is, why is the event as big and worldwide as masterchef when the contestants in the top 5 still duplicating other chef's dishes as a test? Not about the contestants in person, hope you know what I mean

Watching the US MC, everything is overdramatised like a jerry springer show. but on MC Aus, it was just a raw and pure recording of his reaction. i broke down with him cuz you can feel that pain of disappointment in himself hes feeling.

I am an avid viewer of Masterchef Australia since season 1. Reynold is one of those whose name stands out especially when he got that perfect 30 points, when he partnered with Jessie to compete for the immunity pin against the pros. Like what Matt, George and Gary have said before Reynold IS the king of desserts and all three of them are unanimous in saying he is one of the best contestants the show has ever had. Returning to the show is just an icing on the cake if he won, but didn't. He has his bar going and he is a household name when in comes to modern desserts. He lost nothing here, but instead gained more fans and admiration of a lot of people.

I’ve never cried in any Master Chef shows even the contestants cried except this one. I could feel his hardship & struggle throughout his life. There was something really deep about Reynold that moved me so much. His skillful dishes are memorable & that’s the success. I hope bright future will bloom after this amazing journey. It’s rare to see any chef who puts heart & soul to perfection in his cooking. I don’t think the judges are wise enough for not looking the whole package. We need more chefs like Reynold, the creator of foods. What if some people like the bitter taste of caramel to lessen the sweetness? Failing him on this factor isn’t fair.

I don't believe they eliminate Reynold based on hate. The expression of the judge is shown enough that it's more than a heartbreaking decision to lose him in the finale. Although it's unfortunate for Reynold not being able to achieve the Master Chef title, his journey on the competition is already enough to inspire everyone. And I believe his career will be brighter than any other contestant. His creativity as a 'creator' for a dish, especially desserts is beyond imagination.
