This is that scene: "With a desperate swipe, Blackfoot drew his claws across the elder's throat. She gave a choking gasp and fell to her knees, red blood spreading quickly across her chest. Behind her, the kits in the nursery shrieked in terror. ShadowClan needs this. Feeling sick but determined, Blackfoot dragged the elder away from the nursery entrance. She was still breathing, short, labored breaths. But her eyes were glazed. She was dying. "StarClan take you," Blackfoot muttered and drew his claws across her throat once more, ending her suffering rather than letting it draw out."

No it wasn’t, because it had later said he was able to see out of his eye again after it healed. I remember being surprised reading that because I’d thought he would be blind in that eye. The fur has just grown back over the scratch marks, not the entire eye socket.

Actually the most disturbing scene for me was Honeyferns death. I listened to the audiobook and fell asleep. At the scene where she became bitten by the snake I slowly woke up and the scene kinda mixed with my dreams and I saw the scene in my inner eye in a really bizzare way. I remember how I got shivers from that and startet to became really scared, especially because the scene is described very traumatically and detailed

Exactly?!? Nobody ever talks about it. I was so shocked reading it because it was written so morbidly and well! It’s really poetic the fact that two siblings who were once very close killed eachother in cold blood like that. It was so detailed, it made me feel sick. It had said that Jackdaw’s Cry bit her neck and she put her head up and screeched loudly and Gray Wing could hear her neck snap, then she slouched over dead a second after screeching. Then Jackdaw’s Cry stared at her under him for a moment before collapsing on top of her back, dead. Then Gray Wing and Clear Sky went back to fighting, like they were. It was just so tragic.

I'm glad someone finally put Toad's death in credit. I remember the first time I read it I was mortified by the scene. To think these books are meant to be for children still amazes me sometimes.

Sharptooth in general was a scary opponent. When he attacked the cave, he was moving so fast that he almost seemed omnipresent. Really emphasized the *speed* of a mountain lion and how everyone was hopelessly outclassed.

ShadowStar slit quietrain stomach open and then quietrain clawed her throat. They were both laying there dieing and another cat was trying to hold ‘the peices of quietrain’s stomach together begging her not to die’.

Does anyone remember Moon Shadow? Burning to death is always scary, but the way it described him trying to recover with his eyes glazed over in pain, it’s just the saddest thing and he wasn’t even in my top 5 fav DOTC characters

One that came up to my mind was also how darktails "kin" made violetshine watch helplessly how her best friend was drowned by darktail

Honestly I found Tigerstar's death kind of funny as a kid. I could see the horror from a cat's perspective, watching essentially a blessing from the gods be destroyed with a single strike as Tigerstar suffers agony beyond their imagining, but it was still Tigerstar. I feared Scourge for sure, but mostly I just enjoyed the karma. Then I realized something that made the scene /hilarious/. Imagine Scourge's perspective here. He doesn't believe in Starclan; man has no context. He's killed his tormentor, made his declaration to the clans he so despises...oh, guess that guy's not dead yet. Okay, he's definitely dead now. No, he's wheezing again. And he just. keeps. dying. How much blood does this guy even HAVE? That's enough for four cats and counting! So he's sitting there silently baffled for like. Five whole minutes. While dozens of cats have an existential crisis.

Curlfeather.. I was shocked honestly. The way that she was shrieking in agony but still trying to yell out her warning to Frostpaw. And for Frostpaw to be able to do nothing but watch and hear her mother get ripped to shreds under her was gross. I started to cry for her when she couldn’t take hearing or seeing her mother dying anymore that she tried to cover her ears with her paws, and squeeze her eyes shut, but kept almost slipping off the branch, so she had to take her paws off her ears and grip onto the branch. And everything right before that was going so positive for her. Poor baby had been so stressed trying to find a new leader, but she finally got relief when her mother would be the new leader. She was so close to Curlfeather and knew she’d have a great leader who would love and protect her. And she was TOO YOUNG to be stressing like that. So I was glad when she got some relief. But then ONE MINUTE LATER, she’s back to being more stressed than ever! The bloodbath that was her mother’s death will affect her for the rest of her life, and she now had to go BACK to choosing a new leader and helping Mothwing with Starclan business but now with the added thing of no longer having her mother’s love and support, dealing with her grief, AND trying to figure out what the hell Curlfeather’s ominous warning of “trust no cat” entailed, therefore making her paranoid. I really feel for Frostpaw. She’s just a KID. She was so full of life and enthusiastic, but she’s had to quickly deal with so much death, gore, grief, and mainly a massive responsibility thrown onto her. She’s such a tragic character already.

Even as an adult going back to the books, and most not hitting that level, god I felt for Sootfur for his death…

The song choice was absolutely perfect, and so were the choices for the list, great job

I found it quite melancholy how Jackdaws Cry and Falling Feather dueled each other in battle for the leader position of their clan, but quickly upscaled into a fight to the death for honor.

So, it's like chapter 1 or 2 of Leopardstar's Honor. Her Super Edition book. Chronologically it contains info from Arc 1-2. Mostly Arc 1. So you could read it right now. Bellow i spoil a small chunk of the early story. But it explains what you asked. Basically Leopard kit gets spoiled by her clan mates cus her mom & siblings died. Sky kit gets jealous & holds Leopardkit's head under water & than says some pretty fucked up stuff for a kit. NOBODY talks about toads death. it wasnt very descriptive, but my brain imagined it as gory as possible. when i read it it was night, so its was all the more terrifying.

Yeah nobody mentions sootfur's death. It was very disturbing. And probably painful. Anyone else think darktail might have pushed toad? Lets not mention thistle and spotted. I don't consider that book canon and I don't think it should get any attention. It deserves to be burned. THE LAST SONG. DUDE WHERE DID YOU FIND THAT.

What got me the most when I was first getting into the series was Mosskit's death... Bluestar tried so hard to keep her warm, but she still ended up dying, and to 10 year old me that was the saddest thing that I have ever read...

Longtail being blinded by a rabbit was horrifying the rabbit literally put his hind legs on Longtail and straight up scratched them and Cloudtail and Brackenfur couldn’t do anything to help him all they had to do was watch also Brokenstar training kits for battles is so terrifying he trained them at 3 moons and at 5 moons to battle as you can even see Bagderfang said “Are you proud of us yet Brokenstar”

As well as Rainswept Flower’s death. That scene in The First Battle made me so sad.. I loved her a lot and the way that Clear Sky brutally killed her, after those years of being close friends and tribe mates.. wow. She would even take care of him when he was a kit. And as she’s dying and he’s staring down at her, he said one of my favorite lines from Warriors, “I’m not greedy.. just strong.” which really just sums up Clear Sky’s character. It was so tragic. Not to even mention the rest of the deaths in that book. Because it was so BRUTAL and WELL WRITTEN. Frost, Turtle Tail, Jackdaw’s Cry, Falling Feather, and Clear Sky and Gray Wing fighting and Clear Sky almost killing him.

The spotted leaf situation is by far the most disturbing…

When i was younger i watched this one Warrior cats type video, im not 100% sure if it was warrior cats but heres what i remember A pack of cats and suddenly a group of bad cats come and start killing the ,,queen" cats babies because she wont mate with the bad cats leader, so the leader grabs her baby and kills it on the spot, she starta crying- skip all the drama and two of her kittens are like running to safety away from this bad cat, theyre at like the mountains and the aiblings tells his brother to run ahead without him and he'll be following behind him soon; you then hear a blood curdling scream and the younger sibling runs back to find his brother, only to discover his brothers headless body.... That traumatized me so hard and i cant find the video, im looking for it hard rn 😭😭

Something that disturbed me in the series was broken stars training. There was one moment in yellowfangs secret when brokenstar made an apprentice hang from a tree branch with their teeth. I can’t remember which apprentice, but I believe it was because he failed to get a good grip on a pice of prey. Yellowfangs secret was so disturbing, but I kinda want at least a novella about brokenstar and what the heck went through his head. I know he was a punishment from starclan, but I think the punishment had a mind of its own

Snowkits death really hit me like a train, because I had just started the books and wasn't really expecting it.

Bright stream's death is straight up horrifying and very underrated... She was likely slowly and brutally torn apart by beaks, watching her own unborn kits be torn out of her(I think it mentioned that she was showing slightly before she was taken). She was taken far away from home and anyone she loved and then shredded. But that isn't even the most awful thing, and it didn't traumatize me like what came next... The only death in Warriors that actually disturbed me, omg the Goosefeather's curse rotting illness scene is HORRIFYING. They pull the prey from the mud and it's filled with rot and maggots already, and then everyone slowly starves. You can have deaths like Tigerstar, Snowkit, and Honeyfern... but nothing compares to the slow death that is starving and needing to eat literal wood and dirt just to try and live. The reader KNOWS that these innocent cats are gonna die, but still watches as the cats slowly rot away and die.

Hey, can someone explain some of these to me? I’ve read the books but my memory is crap :P -Hailstar and Reedfeather- I don’t remember that but it sounds horrifying -Ashfur and Lionpaw’s training- I know all of the story beats and stuff, but I don’t remember the training scenes, or anything particularly scary about them- is there something I’m forgetting? Anyways, love the use of the Hearse Song :)

Reedfewther was a WindClan warrior who had a relationship with a RiverClan shecat named Fallowtail. RiverClan and WindClan keep stealing the kits from each other and in anger, hailstar pushes his head under the water until he begs for mercy and releases him. Ashfur hated Lionpaw and was abusive and ruthless in their training sessions resulting in Ashfur trying to kill him

​@@fuzeblitz6326thats not what happened at all reedfeather and fallowtail was in a half clan relationship and hailstar let reedfeather take her kits but then after seeing fallowtail grieve for a moon they launch a raid on windclans camp a battle insues in the river and hailstar nearly drowns reedfeather there was never any stolen kits

I think star that shines on water's death is also very disturbing not just her death but the scene the Erin's discribe with it. If no one remembers she was a kit mother in the tribe killed by sharptooth before feather tails death in moonrise.

1:28 I just finished reading a training session in outcast when lion paw prooves to ashfur that he is more skilled than it seems like and asks “now can you go harder on me?” This makes ashfur snap and he proceeds to fitch with lion paw, claws unsheathed, and was acting like lion paw was a senior warrior. It was really disturbing for me to read.. :,/

For those who don’t know how Brindleface died it was when Tigerstar put a trail of dead rabbits leading to the camp and he killed Brindleface and put her at the end of the trail so the dogs can get a taste of cat blood

All of the other deaths were sad and/or disturbing, but Tigerstar's death stuck with me the most. I feel like a lot of people forget this, but he didn't die in one single blow. Starclan couldn't heal the wound Scourge caused. So Tigerstar essentially **died 9 times.** I vividly remember the books describing how his body would shudder and spasm before growing still, his eyes glazing over before he comes back, only to spasm and shudder before dying once more. Shit's dark, man.

The fact wcue isn’t in real life but it still gives me the chills-

I honestly feel bad for Flametail's death, he literally fell into a lake that had freezing water and Jayfeather tried saving him but someone (idk who) pulled Jayfeather back up and Flametail drowned.
