🔥 INCREDIBLE VIDEO👉 • I went to Somalia for ... - Somalia: Piracy / How People Live / Hijacking and Ransoms
My people, today I will show you a country where even police drives around with gunmen for security. We'll visit the Guerrero state mountains, home of the largest heroine plantations in the country. We'll talk to local gang members, who weigh their cash, because it is quicker to count it that way.
These people don't just control a shop or a street, nope, not even districts, instead they control villages and towns!
It's the Guerrero State, where half of Mexico's heroine production takes place. Honestly, when I was on my way to Mexico, I had no idea this trip will turn out to be one of the most insane trips of my life, all due to the fact that Mexico is now experiencing a new evolution of drug wars, and today I'll visit cities with no army, no police, since it's narcos, who control them!

    Hey Eric, I'm a European (half British and half Spanish) and I've always wanted to know why do Americans refer to people from central and South America as Latin American? Sure you speak a European language derived from Latin, but you are quite clearly descended from the native populations (such as: Aztecas, mayans etc). The facial features and skin colour are NOT European features. In Europe the term Latin is not used as a racial term, its used to describe Europeans that speak a language derived from Latin (similarly to how the words Scandinavian, Slavic, Celtic and Germanic are used) So France, Spain, Italy and Portugal are all Latin countries but they are also white western European countries. You can see clearly that Argentina and Uruguay have a heavily European influenced populace, and have many European and mestizo citizens, but the citizens of Mexico, Bolivia and El Salvador for example look absolutley nothing like any European I've seen in my life (minus the a small percentage such as Guillermo Del toro, Canelo Alverez, a few Mexicans presidents and that one Mexican news reporter... I forget her name). So why do you refer to yourselves as Latin when as a nation you most certainly are not?

  • @ericguzman4043

    @ericguzman4043

    3 жыл бұрын

    @@noname-yt7uf so in terms of facial features for Mexicans , it is wrong to assume we all look native. My family (dads side) for instance , are extremely fair skinned , taller and most of my aunts have red hair. But on the other side of the coin my mom’s side are darker and shorter in stature. It’s a mixed bag to be honest. Usually those that are more wealthy tend to look more European. Why do they call Central America Latin America? People in the region speak most Latin languages ( based on countries)you described in your post . That small percentage you speak of is bigger than you think, a decent amount of Mexicans tend to marry Caucasian Americans and blurs the line even more.

  • @noname-yt7uf

    @noname-yt7uf

    3 жыл бұрын

    @@ericguzman4043 yes thats in regards to mestizo's, I guess that's like any European ex colony to have a percentage of mixed race native and caucasion citizens. I've been to Mexico and found the population, as you said, extremely diverse. However I would say the majority of Mexicans I came across still looked Aztec like, I mean they had the slightly almond shape eyes, extremely straight hair and very dark brown skin (this was summer but I've never seen a caucasion that dark even with a tan), they were very Asiatic in appearance almost like a mix of Navajo tribe and a little phillipino... then there are a percentage with European features but are still very dark almost like Afghani or a mixed race Pakistani person you can see in the UK (like Dynamo the half Pakistani/UK magician Google him to see what I mean) and finally you have people that as you said certainly could pass for any western European: like guilermo Del toro, Canelo Alverez, Edith Gonzales, jenny ortega, a few Mexican presidents etc. But it certainly wasn't as much as you say. It does makes sense because only 1.86 million Spaniards ever colonised the entire Spanish speaking America's between 1492 and 1832, if a certain population are mixed they're not going to get any more European looking if the majority population is native or also Mestizo....every body is shocked when they find out that so little arrived, but it's on google. Also yes it's right to refer to the area as Latin American in the European definition, however (and I'm sure you'll know what I'm referring to) many Americans, shockingly even the current vice president, have started to use the term Latino and Hispanic as racial terms. I don't know if you know any one in Spain, but many Spaniards and Europeans in general find this use of terminology really offensive. Its creating a race using terminology used for white western Europeans. Its cultural appropriation in the purest form if the word. You have to admit this is really unfair and wrong. Why can't they use an original word and something that alludes to your mixed or Amerindian heritage. It's such an ignorant and bad word to use and undermines our heritage. I'm sure you agree?

A lot of Mexicans get defensive when all of this is exposed, but in reality most people with access and able to get here and interact with you, don’t know Mexico, they know the small almost acceptable bubble they have lived in most of their lives. This that you captured my friend, is my true nation for most of its citizens, and now you can start to understand why we flee like crazy all over the world, even those of us who can’t get out of here today, dream of it some day.

    My whole family is also from Guerrero Acapulco to be exact is is crazy out there many of my family members out there have died unfortunately my grandfather was killed working on his field for no good reason and when my dad went to go there after his death the bus he was on got robbed by either gangs or cartel and they flipped the bus beat everyone after taking everyone’s money and prizes possessions it didn’t used to be like this as i remeber it but then again when i lived there i was under 5 (I’m 28 now) and haven’t gone back since and don’t plan to bc unfortunately my family doesn’t live in the tourist part of Acapulco and it also is heart breaking knowing that the majority of my family is still stuck there

    It makes sense if you think about it. Video game budget are famously opaque. Some video games take 5 to 6 years to be developed, giving them enough time to launder a significant amount of money. Star Citizen has been in developing for a good 10 years.
