All of these are mostly improvements on what the city was before, or just fun. I understand that people dislike graffiti when they’re just signatures, « Bob was here » or « F**** whoever reads this » and such stupid or ugly things. But these bring the concrete alive. They’re fun, imaginative, beautiful, they bring meaning and connection.

In Germany not possible, because, everything on the street has strict rules. In most cities/towns, you cant choose the color of your door or roof by yourself. You have to ask, which color you can use. I love Germany for their rules and laws, but sometimes, its really too much.

Überlege mal du würdest in Deutschland Straßenschilder oder Fahrbahnmarkierungen bemalen. Nicht auszudenken wie groß der Aufschrei währe. Ganz zu schweigen von den Rechtlichen Konsequenzen. Auf der anderen Seite bin ich aber auch froh, dass das in D nicht geht. Man kann sich die „Kunst“ ja gerne ins Wohnzimmer hängen oder auf KZread ansehen. Im Straßenverkehr brauche ich das eher weniger.
