    Not sure if it was on a OBA Tour but Rsy Orf bowled a 890 series with rubber I believe

    Remember, Johnny Guenther rolled the second 300 game on TV in the 1969 San Jose Open and went on to roll 16 consecutive strikes all with a simple rubber ball. And of course the great Ed Lubanski who shot back to back 300's on TV with his two hole rubber ball. That's 24 in row!

    @@DaJoost075 You bet! And when you watch Ray bowl he is not doing anything "modern" that they "say" is necessary to be a good bowler. Actually if more bowlers emulated Ray's style they we do so much better.

    Not to take credit away from him, but this proves the phrase “when it’s your day, it’s your day”. He was all over the place. Especially on the 12th shot. Sent it all the way to the 4 board it looked like

    Goal is to find area with the right ball, speed and rotation. He did that on tough lane conditions.

    Yeah his release was all over the place too. Some shots his follow through stayed to the right of his head, others it was past his left shoulder

    In the 2007 PBA Pepsi Championship Ryan Shafer threw 18 strikes over the course of 3 matches. Finished a match against Tony Reyes with the back 4, then shot 300 against Jeff Carter, and had a double to start against Norm Duke. Frankie’s shots may have gone through the pins better though

    It was cool to see the difference in the lanes. One lane he threw pretty straight and one would get right next to the gutter

    My best is 15 in a row. 300 in 1st game, and first 3 of 2nd game. Streak was ended with a pocket 7-10 in the 4th. Crazy thing is, I only had 2 more strikes the rest of the series. Started getting 9 9 9 9 9 9 9 9 9.
