    I have wanted something like this for a long time! I have a Canon version and a Fujifilm version on order, and I can't wait to get them. I am so excited about this new product! Thank you, Godox!

    Hey Rob. Thanks for your review! Just a few questions. I think this will be an excellent trigger for macro photography out in the field. I think throughout your video (at one point) the X3 can be controlled solely with buttons? I envision the touch screen getting a little annoying with wet weather conditions. AND did you every try this in your studio and see how long the battery lasts? Thanks in advance.

    Godox lists the battery at 40 hours of operating time. We haven't used it on long shoots yet but so far we haven't had to charge our one for over a week. You can control the trigger using the round dial which spins and presses down.

    Absolutely getting this! But I do not believe for a second that it will last 7 shooting days without recharging. It has a large screen on it.

    hello I have a question about this trigger. Adorama store sells these products with different name, it calls Flashpoint and BHphotvideo sells with this name Godox X3. my question is , i have two flashpoint lights from Adorama one of them is godox AD200 PRO which in my case calls Flashpoint eVOLV 200 PRO AND Godox AD400 again in my case Flashpoint XPLOR 400 PRO. i bought from BH godox x3 trigger so i am curious will it work without any problem with Flashpoint lights which are basically the same product but branding standpoint different name

    Limited versions come in for Hasselblad, Fuji & Olympus with battery changeable & Bluetooth. *ATG RT/Godox RT/Neewer RT/Canon RT/Sony RT/Profoto RT. Pre-order starts for professional = $650 * ATG RT is like but better than most than only accept Canon RT.

    Hi Rob! I have a question for you.. Are the Godox Triggers x1 x2 x3.. cross compatible? I mean can I shoot the Godox V1 (Nikon version) from a Sony Camera if I just get a Sony Trigger? (Off-Camera)

  • @hypop

    @hypop

    2 ай бұрын

    You sure can! So long as you use the correct trigger with your camera (i.e. Sony trigger with Sony camera), then it doesn't matter what model your flash is as the TTL settings will still transmit wirelessly. You can also control the flash / change settings as it's on the same 2.4Ghz wireless frequency.

    Hypop, pulling out the X3 for Canon (3:22 -3:25) on Sony camera, which we all know it won't work in TTL, why this mistake?

    My x3 overexposes by an entire stop of light when converting from ttl to manual. I know it’s the trigger because my xpro-n trigger doesn’t do this. I’ve tried to reset the x3 but that doesn’t help. Any suggestions?

    Try using TCM to see if the same Manual output value differs when comparing it across different triggers.

  • @davidhead5751

    @davidhead5751

    Yeah. I did that. The xpro-n exposes spot on when converting from ttl to manual but the x3 overexposes by an entire stop of light. What’s weird is that the ttl shot itself is fine but when I convert to manual for some reason it’s a stop brighter.

    I haven’t really found a good solution. Depending on which light I use (ad200 or v860iii) the tcm conversion to manual is 2/3 to 1 full stop overexposed. I just have to get the basic reading and then adjust down manually each time I use ttl and the convert to manual. Are you having a similar issue?

    I have spent a lot of time trying to understand what you are talking about. I have an X-ProC. It sits on my Canon camera and transmits signals to anything listening. I don't regard it as a "trigger." It's a "transmitter." I have an X1C R hanging off my Jinbei strobe. R is for Receiver, a complementary term to Transmitter Yongnuo has a line of very dumb devices that fill both roles, those are called transceivers. Like transmitter and receiver, it comes from the world of radio. I also have a device that detects lightning, and I think, sound. It sits on or near a camera and when it detects a signal, it triggers a camera. A significant difference between this and a receiver is the lack of a companion transmitter. And the trigger can detect several events, a broken light beam for example.

    @@thatryguygamer1616 It's a transmitter. Arguably the receiver triggers the flashes. In radio terms, it receives the signal and so "receiver." My Godox X1R is a receiver, it receives signals from my XPro. My V1 speedlights have receivers built in.
