A tip I'd personally give for Fuze is to coordinate with your team for pushes, since you make a ton of noise. A Fuze charge going off creates so much noise and panic that the enemies most of the time won't hear you breaching a barricaded window, sprinting, or shooting their util, especially if they're too busy running away. Just be mindful you're not cutting off entry or escape routes for your team when blowing a charge.

As an Oryx main, this is so correct. People try and sneak around, but then they break and jump up a hatch insanely loudly and give their position away. Personally, to remain as unpredictable as possible, I go by this philosophy. Always stay on the move. Oryx has the best mobility in the game, and taking advantage of that is paramount. For example, you could swing one attacker from one place, then possibly move a whole floor up or down, and then swing them again from a completely different angle.

I just got oryx and been loving him, i leave obj and put my motion sensor on the most important stairs. I break most hatches outside the obj, and usually play the most for picks and switches

I sneak up behind a wall and jumpscare people with the remah for fun if im playing serious I run all over the place making as much noise as possible confusing my enemies thinking they're surrounded

When I play Thorn I put the traps on default plants, by barbwire, or by Melusi's gadget. you get a kill that way the majority of the time.

She only really works (beyond soft detection) when you combo with other gadgets or put on default plant to delay as you said. With frost mats, she can secure the kill without anyone having to potentially expose themselves. With lesion and melusi, the slowdown can disorient them enough to get the kill. With kapkan and ella, the noise from the detonation can block out the initial activation and cost them enough time (all this works better close to site where they are more stressed and have angles to watch etc). An underused strategy is to keep them and play dynamically, throwing them to clear attackers off of angles. In reality, they have enough time to find and shoot the gadget, but in practice most people just freak out and run, especially at gold and lower rank.

With Thorn, try to hide your traps around default plant spots. This can interrupt the tempo of the attack, force them to re=take default with less utility, and give you an idea of where the attackers are planning to plant. Also, swinging off her traps for info is obvious, don't use them randomly in spots around the map hoping to get a kill. Info and time denial, that's what her traps do

Also u can use 2 or 3 in one area to force opponents into more traps after one goes off. You can use it to funnel enemies into spot they don't want to be in. Also at the start of the round you can throw them outside when someone repels up. It works on villa and club house cc repel breach.

this dude who made the video has some absolute shit takes on a lot of the ops especially thorn. i've used thorn as my main for the past couple weeks and i have gotten a ridiculous amount of kills from her traps from simply putting them overhead on doorways or common jump down spots like elevator shaft on tower. the only op i see as an alt to thorn is kapkan which also gets a lot of kills from traps but is more easily countered because he is limited to windows and doorways. thorn's trap is not meant for info or time denial and if that's what you're using it for i couldn't imagine you're doing too well in your matches.

@@carrot2851 Thorn doesn't really get kills outside of low elo, especially on doors/jump-ins. If I throw a Thorn onto a doorway, it's because I'm around the corner ready to swing off the trap going off. There's a few scenarios where you can throw a few Thorns together to go off simultaneously and get kills that way (like outside bunker on Clubhouse), but those aren't super common. But using Thorn as a way to reset attacks with default plant spots, or using her to swing on info, is pretty good in higher elos. Kapkan is even worse in higher elos, because people just drone and check doors. None of the trap ops really get kills, they just have tools that assist them in gunfights (except Kapkan, who can get random kills, especially in lower elo/uncoordinated games)

Thank you for saying that about Clash. My friends get mad at me when I play her for not being ‘aggressive enough,’ but I’ve told them I should play defensive, slowing their advance, making calls and supporting them. Not aggressively pushing them.

"picking iq when vak is banned makes 0 sense" its usually good against preplaced c4 or even normal c4 when they have bottom floor on maps like kanal, consulate or whatever basement site that has a soft ceiling. It's also VERY useful against mute or kaid when u have to go below/above to break that wall denial. And lastly she is a 3 speed with a 2 great guns so she can act like an entry fragger, way more useful than an ashe in my opinion.

As a maverick main you little segment on him is just wrong. It does cost a grenade, but it is far faster to just get rid of the wall denial gadgets and let your ace breach it than to try and maverick trick it. Also you can't throw a c4 through a maverick hole, if you do it right. If you just make a vertical line on the top of a wall and throw a grenade through, bouncing it off of the ceiling, and breaking the gadgets, it will not leave a hole you can throw a C4 though. The c4 will just get stuck on the wall and the damage doesn't work well through a hard wall so even if they blow it up, you don't die. Maverick works best as a thatcher substitute since he is slow to breach and is vulnerable when doing it, but his gadget is very versatile and can't be countered by Mute, Bandit or Kaid.

If u have an ace on your team, then even this is the wrong way to do it. Just burn a hole low and shoot the jammers/batteries. If Kaid is not banned then you still need to drone where the claw is, but it still needs no additional utility. If you are using thermite instead of ace, then the hole is sort of a risk because thermite will have to stand near it, but if you make it small enough you’re probably fine. Also, for most players (platinum rank and below) and almost all console ranked players, maverick tricking is not worth the utility it saves, because the utility meta doesn’t exist.

@@davidwang4234 When Maverick is using his torch he is very vulnerable and maverick tricking a wall can take a long time. It's much quicker and safer to just throw a frag through the hole and let your ace/hibanna/thermite breach it., Unless they have a wammai or Jager in which case you need to do the more dangerous thing and go straight for the batteries.

Make a hole, have a team mate burn the ADS/MagNet, throw a nade at a steep enough angle. That most often takes the electroclaw off. If not, then it's been placed more discreetly, which is almost always easily found with some Kaid knowledge/droning. But the first approach works 90% of the time. Do the hole quite high if you have a Thermite, so he won't get domed when placing his charge.

As a hard breach main, I agree with this. I’d much rather my maverick just quickly clears the anti breach so I can do my job. It’s much quicker and less risky

As a Kapkan player, you need to put kaptraps on the other side of the door from which the enemy is running from, that way it makes it harder to see it as they’ll be looking on the side of the door that they are running to, such as clubhouse basement trapdoor, or the main hall door in clubhouse, it’s really useful if it’s some Ash Rush Main.

You can also bait with it depending on how much you value your 5th one. Because you essentially have 2 fully lethal traps by doubling up you could sacrifice the third by putting it on an obvious angle so that they clear it and generally won't think to double check the doors "safe angle" Depends on whether you care to have the 5th actually go off on someone or not.

@@ethandonnelly1973 I still use the 5th kaptrap on a person because most of the time someone is stupid enough to not check for kaptraps, also for frost and shield ops, frost gets scanned most of the time but most people forget and get injured and for shields people would usually just let you ads if you are fast enough and you get them in the head, but it sometimes fails.

For both Thorn and Lesion, their gadgets are actually The Best on default plant spots, since they waste time that the attackers might not even have. Obviously, don't place multiple on the plant spots, but putting 1 or 2 on common plant spots can be seriously lethal.

Won a ton of ranked matches doing this with lesion. Not only plant spots, but the paths leading up to them too. Time is short when youre attacking, and robbing more time is a good way to win on defense.

I think a lot of people try to use Thorn's traps like Kapkan as a "use and forget" thing. Imo they'd work much better if they're placed for anchors to play around. Attackers are forced to move away from a well-placed trap, so if one is placed inside a window or shield an attacker has to either vault back over or push fast.

Here’s a nice melusi trick, the banshees can detect people through barricaded doorways when placed on the floor so you can use it to get info on pushing attackers with them having no way of knowing where you are

Another thing to do on Frost is to place her mats in the middle of the landings on stairwells. With most people looking to the next floor, you’d be appalled how many mat kills you’ll get from rushing Ash/Zofia mains on maps like Kafe, Outback or even Emerald Plains

I know Nokk has the rep as a solo pusher but honestly I don't quite agree with that. Obviously it can work that way but any form of information denial or misleading information is a great form of power to hold over another team which is why I would honestly suggest buddying up with an entry when you push. There's no indication you're there when your ability is active which means that if someone gets your team mate on a cam, they probably will swing it. And if you're there with them, stealthed up, they've just swung into 2 guns. So it's worth considering using her in this way. Yes it's kinda baity, but I mean refragging in general is baity so why not abuse it. You could even just run her and Iana, Plenty of nades plus some droning, distraction and stealth. Best case is the Iana doesn't even die there.

If I pick rook, I put the armour down in default plant spots. That way you can buy some time as they have to hit it first. You never know, when it's the last few seconds that can make or break a round.

I always go super slow with nook as her smg is so great in my opinion, creeping up behind is an easy way to do it. And I’ve taken to using Amaru in a totally different way now. I had one game on consulate where I used all the hooks because I kept jumping out top floor and repositioning to other spots and it really opened my eyes. Add in stuns for maps with lots of corners and use the breaches when needed and she is a really great methodical choice that can pull some wild location changes

I just got back into siege and it’s been ab a year and a half and your content has really helped refresh my memory and get my mindset correct in game, very informative and you’re honestly one of the best content creators/ streamers I’ve seen in a long time

As a Fuze main, the only time I set his charges off in sequence is on Kafe Dostoyevsky, kitchen objective. I try to set them off in a randomized pattern that covers the entire kitchen and typically get a kill or two or at the very least force the enemy out if kitchen into my teammates crosshairs.

Flores is a good op to play aggressively. You drone out the site and the plant the rc where you deem best. I used it to hold a door while I’m vaulting a window or pushing in, to clear out defenders from the positions and to open up walls or play vertically. He’s a really useful all around op.

As a thorn main I mainly use her for the traps. They are great for notifying me and my team where they are plus they may damage the atttacker

one great point that this guy makes is minding the noise - i often pre-breach several hatches (with cav, i don't really play oryx) ,so that i don't have to make noise later when going through and alert someone of my arrival. also use noise to mask your activity - wait for gridlock's tune or fuze's havoc to make your sprint, to start planting, to wheel out a flores drone, to start burning a hole with maverick, or to drop ying's candela. amplify the chaos for no fucking reason. you know you want to :)

You can use thorn traps as an alarm And if you got a jager teammate ask them to put barbwire where you put your traps

You use thorn her gadget to let attackers push back or further in, just away from the area, not to kill but if they stay they die. The main use of the razorbloom is just a one use beeper, that gives you a sound when attackers try to push. A nice one is on the blue stairs in chalet. You can use her gadget somehwat effectively with good placement with banshees and a razorbloom, can give some free kills in my experience. Or you use her gadget on plant spots for a last minute plant, if they plant there and the razorbloom is still up they die. These arent alot of places tho. And it could be nice if they wanna plant real quick. That way they have to reposition or run back out and way a bit longer, maybe enough time for you can your team to reposition, get better angles and fight back.

I find thorn more as a flank watch/plant denial operator, for example put one on blue stairs where youve put it at the end of the video and when u hear it pop off, enemy MUST be visible when u swing cause they have no time to climb the stairs that fast so they are probably rushing down blue halway, or for plant denial, basement of consulate is perfect, put it on toolbox next to white van to deny corner plant, under black car to deny between cars plant or just delay it😁 this way they are way more useful than just trying to get kills and doing nothing

Spot on with the clash tips, I’m a clash main(I know) and people will pick clash and play aggressive. All u do is what u said, call out attackers, zap them, and let ur teammate kill them

The problem with the “just msg trick walls instead of clearing until with him is there are a few exceptions of walls that just seem to be in msg trickable. Chalet snowmobile and clubhouse pool balcony are the first 2 that come to mind. In both of those it’s better to use nades to clear but the mav hole in the middle of the wall is a bad idea. Both those walls have drone holes to nade through

I was playing Thorn once and threw a razor bloom into a hallway with like 3 attackers… quickly became a 5v2 and it was hilarious💀

Appreciate the video. though one thing to mention is that these tips mostly apply to higher elos rather than low plat/gold-

also about capitao people don't realize that his fire falls, so you can just shoot it above and behind waist high cover where a defender is hiding to get them out of there while not being very exposed or you could shoot it up through a floor

I have been playing R6 since Operation Health, i reached plat 1 and stop playing for a while, i can really say with +2k hours in ranked and +1k hours in casual, this video has the best tips i have ever seen

The Smoke tip is really situational imo, if you're playing anchor in the bomb site then keep the smokes, if you're lurking around the site then use at the beginning or mid-round and if you're roaming then just use as soon as you find an attacker trying to get into the map.

Smoke is not a roaming op. You should never really find yourself roaming as a good smoke player.

i pick thorn for her traps. place them mindful and they are a loud notification and the enemy will almost always panick and rund away, so its also areal denial

Also, as Zero main: if you struggle with vertical play, try Zero. Defenders do not have time nor possibility to look at their feet when they have to watch for attackers, and activation sound is not a problem because of all the gun shooting sound. Place your cam from below or above, ping the defender. Boom, easy kill. As Thorn main: DO NOT place your razors in places you are watching(outside entrance doors and such), these spots already covered by you or your teammates. Place them in spots that is not covered or covered not as safely as you want to. Do not expect to get a kill, but use the sound cue to locate the enemy and give info or shift your attention. Or, if you are roaming, use them like Ela's mines, place them near the part of the map you roaming are and flank the enemies

small detail i like you making mistakes aswell in the background instead of bragging with clips also great vid

Tachankas launcher, I'm a low silver mind you, I think is best for the last minute or so of a match, as long as you're holding site down. If you time them right and there are only one or two ways into site there isn't really a way to counter them other than killing you, but hopefully use the deployable shield to the advantage and then bounce them off ceilings and walls to get them where you want... Basically play tachanka like you play echo, just in or right near site rather than hiding further away to just prevent planting

On Lion i use it in the beginning so i can try and either stop a spawn peak (because he gonna stop moving) or to tag him (being in a hurry to get in time on the windom etc making him move on the last second)

I can tell that you’ve died to Maverick opening a wall, there is some built up anger in there

@Poxonlox have you ever tried running Thorn with lesion. Me and my buddy do that quite a bit and we commonly get a 3-4 kills a match that way. Sometimes it’s an absolute bust but it often works. 😂

Oregon small tower with frost ist super fun. Or azami for attic. Just throw one from below to protect the badit battery to get shot from meeting. They then need ash or zofia to destroy.

I love blackbeard. On unranked, since nobody has perfect aim, that off chance they pull a headshot get instantly blocked and since they are just holding the trigger, the recoil is enough to throw them off and give you enough time to kill them right away.

Thorns mines are good, place them where the enemie gets into an engagement. They cant shoot the mine, run from it and kill a mate at the same time, it messes them up big time and at least scores a tactical advantage

i’d have to say the thing people get wrong playing thorn is not having barbed wire in the traps radius ie middle of the hall way under it, on a landing on stairs under the trap or even paired with a melusi do real damage

I think the best way to play mozzie at least in lower ranks is to use one at the start get a drone set up as a cam and then wait and use the other mozzies during the round to say get twitch drones when playing server club house

One thing that wasn’t really mentioned is that consequently to Kaid being better than Bandit, if you pick Bandit over Kaid, you should be Bandit tricking and not leaving the devices unattended UNLESS you are roaming with him. Although playing objective and Bandit tricking letting others do the roaming is more useful imo

I always Kaids trick and I used to get crap for it when it’s literally the best to trick with

For Azami what you can do is go on the opposite side of the door hit the door twice then place a keba that way it takes 1 hit for you but 4 for the opponent’s

For goyo you can see stuff such as oh they have rushed this door put the goyo on the door and when they rush in they get hit withthe flame

I feel people dont use amarus vertical rush and hard breaches often enough because setting those in non common breach spots that are not common are an AMAZING source of confusion.

Goyo on hostage is very powerful, although there a quite a few rules: - if hostage is grabbed and then dies in fire, goyo gets tk - if team triggers goyo and that kills hostage, then the team member who triggered the gadget gets tk. This is also the case for gadgets triggering goyo, e.g. kapkan trap exploding a goyo. - goyos on reinforced walls/windows will get goyo a tk So basically goyos can/should be placed around the hostage at 1-2m distance. When they are destroyed by enemy (direct shot, exploded by enemy gadget, sometimes debry) than the enemy gets tk. Isn't working as well as one month ago, but still a cool was to end a round.

thorn's traps are best when combined with a movement-impairing effect, like razor wires or melusi's gadget. you can also experiment with placing them in not-so-obvious places, triggered when back-stepping will be really inconvenient. combined with frost traps it's an auto-finisher of anyone who gets trapped, but this will be a waste in my book.

tbh a lot of youtubers say that thorn is wasted because u dont get actrual kills with the gadget instantly but u would be surprised how many kills i get with her gadget alone in places where attackers have repelled into the area and cant escape it instantly

Mute the biggest reason I feel some people still place jammers on exterior walls is because of how good they used to be at blocking a breach.

Tip(s) from a player who dies way, way to much: Go into t-hunt with frost (hard or realistic) and practice reinforcing in combination with utilities. Helps with reinforcing that understanding of where things should go. Tip 2: No-one expects a dokka in the window.

I main IQ and in my last game I marked the Kapkan traps on a door and then my teammate proceeds to walk through the door (they had the defuser as well)
