Brunsnick is the best channel on youtube in the bowling genre. I am a Hammer guy so this channel is always doing reviews on equipment that I am interested. But Nick does a great job by adding alot of coaching and observations about techniques so anyone should be able to enjoy these videos.

interesting and good information, you almost sound like my pro shop operator, wouldn't trade him for anyone else, HE IS THE BEST!!!!, I use to have a ball layout in mind, now I just go in and let Byron, do his thing, most my layouts are close, sometimes he tweeks them based on ball performance numbers to fit my personal style and performance, Nick think I would be very happy with you also, based on online information you give in your videos. Honestly, I think my pro shop owner and ball driller, both same person, knows my bowling game better than I do myself, every ball I get from Byron, does for me exactly what he says it will do. finish with yep once a year we check pap and measures my hand to see if anything is changing. Love your BrunsNick videos content your always entertaining and passing on valuable information to us bowlers, thank you !👍👍

Practiced with a football which I've gotten quite good with... I've thought about drilling into my 15 lb medicine ball which I don't know how that would go... I need to find a coach but haven't had much luck with that... Old dogs new tricks I guess, lol. Any advice in a video would be awesome.

Try a C300 white dot plastic. I am bowling very good with mine. Fingers above the label. 758 and 736 at two different houses. 230s and 240s at other house shots practicing. If you don't have one as a spare ball, borrow one and try it a couple games. I'm usually throwing it straight down between 7 to 10 board.

@@brunsnick Assuming the ball plug is urethane base, if you roll over the plug, how much does it really impact ball motion? If you flare a lot, you should move off the plug pretty quick. If you don't, a small portion of the ball footprint will look like a urethane ball, so maybe you loose a very small amount of performance, but would it really be noticeable?

Here are the questions I would have asked you: 1. Who is your favorite bowler of all time and why? 2. What is the most amazing bowling experience you ever had? 3. Do you think modern bowling ball technology has changed the classic game of bowling from a sport of skill and shot making into one of power and brute force? 4. Do you think the introduction of modern bowling ball technology is the main reason bowling has declined as a sport and is not taken as seriously anymore compared to the Golden Age of Bowling in the 1960's when bowlers were a household name and earned more money than any other professional athletes in any other sports?

  • @brunsnick

    1. Amleto 2. Bowling Tour Trials the first year they had it and getting my first taste of tour life. 3. No, the technology hasn't change the game. Bowlers are getting stronger and applying more force to the ball than ever in history. The lane conditions have softened scoring. If you look at USBC Open Champs, the same people who average 220+ in league every year usually can't break 1800. (And they're using the same balls as they did) 4. No, I think the modern family made bowling decline with both having to work to make ends meet and both having to take care of the kids. The 60's was the bowling boom for sure Centers popped up left and right and defaulted after some time so Brunswick and other companies started buying them back. I also think the indoor smoking ban in the 90's contributed the decline of league play.
